Panasonic 1TB Hard Drive Recorder is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mediocre - "this ain't no Tivo" I bought this to replace my Tivo. It's ok but has a poor interface, doesn't allow watching from USB while recording, actually there are a lot of things it doesn't do while recording. The rewind TV feature can only be used under certain circumstances and navigation is woeful. It's good enough but don't expect to be impressed. However if you have a Tivo that needs replacing it's about as good as it gets but be prepared to be disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from works well Use it to watch and record Freeview and Netflix. Basic operation is good. Has Netflix button on remote. There is an audio output is Digital Coax, no Optical output. Works great delivers good picture. Has freeview Plus, so HD Freeview. Bought on special, so better value.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Replacement for mySky We wanted a replacement for mySky for recording TV and this has been great. The added bonus is that our TV is able to now be used to watch on demand shows also.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love it. I bought this a couple of months back. It is great. I just wish when recording a series (like Coro) it didn't record the 3 hours of repeats. Apart from that its magic!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Black out I have experienced black screens and freezing when using, but this very random. In order to stop issues I pause live tv then play which helps but this just p##### me off when you change channel and have to stop play to exit paused live tv.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product Improvement I used to own an earlier model Panasonic DVR but I stored it in a TV cabinet that I think had too little venting and it would overheat in the NZ summer. This meant that the video would fail until it cooled down and had intermittent tuner failure from time to time. Finally the tuner failed permanently and cost to replace tuner high compared with new model. The new model is better in almost every way. Better more responsive interface for selecting timer recording, smaller with bigger hard drive. The only down side was removing the DVD drive. Now I cannot hold movies I like and play them when I go away on holiday. I have read that I can store on external drive but can only play back with original DVR unit so this is not a replacement feature. Other comment I would make is the unit connect to the web for watching you tube etc but the interface is poor and can only load apps for play movies from the Panasonic apps store which means apps that are used in NZ such as lightbox and TVNZ are not options.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Huge Hard Disc The recorder works fine, but normal aerial leads do not seem to work in my house. No signal unless I used a lead designed for a sky decoder. I would have liked more than 32 recording slots as this seems to be the standard number on most recorders, but why.
