Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good security camera I was thinking many times before buying this camera as it has a high price tag. However, I never regret since the first day I purchased Arlo Pro 2. It’s really good quality of camera and super easy to install within 5-10mins. You will save a professional installation fee at least a couple of hundred dollars when you don’t know how to install a wired security camera. Arlo Pro 2 also provides you a free 7days cloud storage and you can use your own external hard drive to save recording without paying extra subscription.

It’s easy to use and with ‘Geofencing’ as a feature, your phone acts as the ‘key’ to notify the system when you are home within a specific proximity; and rearms the system when you leave your home. the design is sleek, not big like traditional security cameras and the battery has been good for the last month. I would highly recommend this product!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great the 5% of the time it worked Purchased this and it was glitchy from go to woe. The biggest issue was the inability of the base unit to connect with the camera. After literally 10hrs of online research I identified that the new 5ghz wifi we had just had installed 'could possibly (who knows)' interfere with the signal so I disconnected the 5ghz and just used the 2.4ghz signal. I had immediate success with the base unit identifying the two cameras.. except only one of these cameras detected motion. This resulted in a further 10hrs of research trying to get the camera detecting motion, I never succeeded. I decided to just leave it be, as I could program the other camera to remotely turn on both cameras when it detected motion. This worked ok for about a week until I mistakenly disconnected the power to the base unit. I was back at square one, except this time the base unit wouldn't connect to the cameras for days regardless of the 5ghz wifi being turned on or not... until one day it suddenly did connect, but again, the same camera was still not detecting motion. I gave up and returned it. I am not exaggerating when I say that this wasted at least 4 full days of my life, I like a challenge, otherwise I would have returned it immediately, I should have done this. I have a reasonable idea about electronics so I would hate to think how a less tech savvy person might deal with this.

Only criticism is the app is a little confusing to fine tune your preferences and security options. Had to play around till I figured it out. Otherwise, happy with the decision to buy it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not worth the price We have owned this product for 3 months and have had connection issues, also the time delay is annoying as your home could be burgled by the time you receive the footage, as well as there are time gaps in the recordings and sometimes one of the cameras just doesn't record at all.
