Easy, and fast.
Very simple set up and working flawlessly so far. Lag time between clicking button on phone and switch is very short, well less than a second. Hasn't missed a beat yet.
Unfortunately the plug is too large to get it into a standard socket with another larger plug like my cell phone charger. Definitely won't get two of these side by side in a traditional socket.

D-Link DSP-W118 Mini Wi-Fi Smart Plug Scheduling
Bought one of these plugs for the scheduling function, but could not make it work properly. The setup is confusing and complicated , but once setup the plug did not work as advertised. After a dozen emails to D_Link I have given up. Would not recommend this plug to anyone. Have since bought a different brand plug and its day & night difference.

Works fine but needed an update
It took a while before the dlink app was able to find it and even more before the plug connected to my wifi (had to try it a few times). Eventualy it worked and once that was done it instantly saw it needed an update. This took a long time to complete (1 hour or so), but after that the connection was fine, the update fixed it.
Google home found my plug after i linked my dlink account to google home, the instructions were a bit minimal on that process. All in all happy with my purchase

Really useful for turning on lamps remotely!
I now have several of these plugs around the house. All connected to lamps, except one for a heater, and to my Google Home. Used to turn on lamps without switches from a distance, as difficult to reach plug sockets behind furniture. Also, have them scheduled to turn on and off at different times. I can activate remotely via my phone, too, when away from home for security purposes.

Does the job well
I now have six of these in use at home and they do the job very well. I like the timer function and the way the app tells me when they are off line because of a power issue. The device also integrates with Google Assistant very well.
I would have given five stars except for the fact that their size means that they take up too much space in wall outlets and powerboards.

Was an enjoyable experience as the staff were able to point me to the right coloured shirt person to assist with my purchase. The colour of the carpet matched the colour of the shirt of the person in that section. Worth it!Black carpet, black shirt

Great product, shame about the app
Great item works perfectly once linked with Alexa. The dlink app isn’t the greatest but now they are linked to Alexa I don’t use the app anymore.
