Disappointing
1st issue - After one month my feeder for scanning stop working. Resolution - Brother sent me a new machine. 2nd & 3rd issues - 2 x's after receiving my new machine, I had to call tech support because the scans weren't being sent to my computer. Resolution - Both times I was instructed to delete and reinstall the Brother software. 4th issue - yesterday (12/2/20) I was trying to print and kept getting an error telling me to reseat a print cartridge. I tried multiple times - didn't work. I also shut machine down and restarted, again, didn't worked. This morning before I called tech support to resolve issue, machine was working.

Great Printer
Installation was effortless. I installed the ink cartridges and connected to my wifi. The printer immediately informed that a firmware update needed to be made and then installed it with no problems. Installation of the software required that I select the printer on the network and then everything else was installed without no more user interaction. I installed it on 3 computers. It prints very fast, the print is sharp, the ink dries quicker than my previous printers, and photos look great. I've printed a lot of pages in the month that I have had the printer and I'm still on the starter cartridges. I wish that it had a photo tray, but that is a minor complaint.

Worst Paper Drawer I have Come Across
I bought this printer on recommendation of the sales store staff (more pages per ink toner) and my 'geek to you' tells me it is a good printer. It does print well and reasonably quickly.
I have had no end of problems with the software and getting this to work - which to be fair is possibly a laptop issue as much as a printer software issue. Finally got printing sorted out and now it won't scan. What a nightmare.
My main complaint is that the paper drawer is hard to open, requires the lifting of a separate cover and paper needs to be jiggled to get it in. My previous printers of another brand had a significantly more accessible and easy paper drawer.

Scam to get you to buy ink (cont'd)
Since I can't reply to your last message: When I say it blocks out all functionality, I mean ALL functionality, not just printing functions. It will not read flash drives. It will not scan to any device hooked up to it, and the instructions to "switch to grayscale" do nothing per your response to my review. To anyone who can read this, do yourself a favor and do not buy unless you plan on stocking up on ink cartridges. This thing eats them whether you print anything or not.

Not to bad. But it doesn't do everything i wanted
Hello there,
To whom it may concern,
I'm sending you this enquiry email to say I'm not fully happy to be frank. I was thinking that may be my new brother printer MFC J5330DW will be able to print double sided sheets of paper into double sided copies of paper. Also single sheets of print into double sided copy sheets without placing them on the glass. One at a time. Disappointed that multiple sheets of paper cannot be fed into the printer and copied double sided.
I thought it would automatically be able to do this, considering the size of it and what it can do. But sadly mistaken :(

Love It!
20+ yrs in a home office, have always had Epson & HP printers because they had the most options at the stores. Thank you Covid! No seriously... thank you Covid! I went to two different stores and the few all-in-ones that were on the shelf were my only options. There was no website orders or hopes of a new shipment next week. So I went home and started searching online. I was never crazy about my other printers, especially the HP's, so I figured I'd try a Brother. Best printer I've ever had!! Zero paper jams and incredibly fast. I use several different types of paper and have never had a problem. The paper tray could be improved a little, but it's not a big deal. Brother printers are forever in my future now!

You may have to buy ink cartridges right away
No sure why they include the cartridges. I already had to order all 4 since the color cartridges were completely empty. I was told the original cartridges are only good for the initial set up but how do I know if it's printing properly if there is not enough ink to even print a test page? Not the way I would service a customer. Hopefully it works ok, I will know tomorrow then my ink gets delivered. My cost increase by 50% since it cartridges were empty.
