Brother MFCJ6530DW Inkjet All-in-One Printer is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 194.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what we needed! This printer replaces the previous Brother we had ("If this thing dies, I will run out and buy another one the same day!") Yup - did that! It is even faster, clearer, etc than its predecessor - who died from giving us lots of use! I originally bought the first one - and now the second - because of the large scanning area; we have a lot of antique printed classical music that we copy, to save the fragile oversized originals in rehearsals and performances. And sometimes, we have to go the other way - music that has been greatly REDUCED by publishers, and thus rendered difficult to read, need to be enlarged, so the 11x17 paper tray comes in very handy! Also for maps, large format books - great printer, and great VALUE!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceeded expectations, but a couple of quirks 4.5 stars actually. Bought 2 months ago. Very satisfied with nearly all aspects. Exceeded my expectations for speed, quiet, paper handling. Up to par on quality and hopefully ink use. Quirk 1. Loses wi-fi connection overnight. The tools to sort this out just don't work. Eventually I discovered that turning the Brother off then on, gets the wi-fi connection back automatically and quickly. Those tools need looked at. 2. Using A3 paper to print a file of 2 x A4 pages does not work. The selection Multiple > Pages per sheet = 2 displayed correctly in the visual panel but no way would it print like that. I tried every potential setting I could find with no joy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all-purpose printer/scanner/copier Bought this when my devoted old Brother printer finally stopped after 8 years (my fault actually!). Wanted to keep the facility to scan A3, so this latest model was a no-brainer. Everything works great, and the WiFi is an added bonus. My boss was so taken by my printer he also immediately bought one for home and is extremely happy! BTW, be aware that to initialise the printer, you MUST begin with the starter ink that comes with the printer. (and it lasts for a lot of use anyway) By all means buy your first full cartridges with the printer if you can get a deal, but DO begin with that starter ink!! The printer demands it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Changed over printer from another brand Had the printer for a couple of months so far. It prints very quickly compared to my previous printer from another maker. Just remember to have the paper catch piece out before you print otherwise you will have to chase the printed copy. The setup was straight forward and easy. I haven't used all of the features as yet though what I have used have worked OK. I also have an old Brother Laser multi functional printer / fax that keeps on keeping on so I am hoping that this new one does the same. The printer I replaced only lasted 2 years and that was with a replacement in the first 12 months. hen the replacement died as well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Everything works so well This is a great piece of set and forget office hardware. I don't even have to remember to turn it on and off. I've used most of the features and they're easy and intuitive. BUT when you run out of a colour - the whole printer shuts down and won't print black and white. THIS is DRAMA when it happens outside shopping hours - for a major project. And you thought it would just print anyway but there is NOTHING you can do to make it print ANYTHING. Five stars removed to three for the major drama of ink stoppage.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from not cheap, plain nasty! We have had this printer for 10 months. It is easy to set up, print quality is as good as anything else on the market, ink consumption is excellent, but that is the only thing going for it. Build quality is worse than Christmas crackers. There are no separate trays for A3 and A4. It is slow to interact with computer on a wireless setting. It is slow in printing drawings, even on its fastest setting. It will not print a section of a drawing on A3 despite all settings being shown A3. It is a fairly decent machine, but HP makes far superior printers at this price range.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ideal for my office This printer does everything a small office might need. It copies, prints & scans well. I haven't used it for faxing. I particularly wanted to be able to print/copy A3 in colour and to have duplex capability. I'm happy with the print speeds. It is a fair size & weight (as another reviewer has mentioned), but it fits perfectly on top of a standard sized 3- or 2-drawer filing cabinet providing there's space alongside for access. It's early days, but everything seems to work well and it has good connectivity.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review of Brother MFC-J6530DW I found the MFC-J6530DW an excellent product so far. It was easy to connect too and use. I have it setup as a remote printer, as it does not fit on my computer desk. So far I have only utilised the printing and scanning functions which work very well indeed. I like that it will a PDF file of the scanned image to my computer and requires no further processing via Adobe Acrobat. I also purchased this printer because it can print onto A3 size paper, which handy when printing drawings. Very happy with the price of the printer although the inks are a bit pricey. Overall so far, I give it five stars! Thanks Alex
