Garmin Instinct - Tundra is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 755.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Garmin Instinct- brilliant I've owned for a month and am learning more about the functions and having a blast. Great watch. Fits my tiny wrist so comfortably and the tail of the band doesn't stick out like all my previous watches. I love seeing my daily stats on the Garmin Connect App. Helps to keep me motivated. When I was looking for a smart watch, I initially didn't even consider Garmin, but IMO, they are current industry leaders and do a fantastic job. The battery life is outstanding. Lasts for about 2 weeks with my usage. And a very well built, hearty watch. I can wear it adventuring and it will survive!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing watch - Apps need work I use this watch primarily for hiking and road cycling and wanted a watch that could navigate my custom routes. The Garmin Connect app seems like it was made for this watch, great interface and useful features that track your fitness routine and daily stats. The issue I have with Connect is that the map is buried deep inside the menu system which seems odd for a GPS watch. After you do find the map, it does not have any topo maps, or the ability to upload one, that's kind of a big deal for hikers and MTB cyclists. There is another Garmin app that does this but it complicates things: Garmin Explorer has topo maps, but you can't create a track on this app because the snap function does not work. It also has poor maps without the ability to upload more (charge me for better maps, please). To further complicate things, the two apps have different names for the same things. Garmin Connect has "courses" or "segments" whereas Garmin Express has "tracks" and "routes". Confused yet? Garmin, please make the Connect app have a more robust, upfront map with the ability to upload and you will have a killer watch. Okay, to be fair, it already is a killer watch - the features are endless and great UI. Just wish the supporting apps were more aligned with the thoughtfulness of the watch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome watch I’ve had it for three days and I absolutely love it. Great tracking and sensor features, comfortable to wear, and lots of data! It’s made working out more of a science and it encourages me to live healthier (drink more water, meet the step goals, etc). The Instinct is especially great for the more outdoorsy types because it has way more activities (Nordic skiing, MTB, trail running), which is great for any Nordic ski racers out there (like myself). It’s also surprisingly customizable for how simple it is to use. Overall an excellent investment!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great smart watch I got my instinct a week ago and I am very happy with it. I have had some budget smart watches to put my toe in the water. You clearly get what you pay for when you buy a smart watch. Huawei, amazfit bip, both quit working after a few months with non-existent customer support. I will not buy a watch that requires charging every day or every 2 days. Apple looking at you. I am all in on Garmin. I had one of their early gps devices. My next purchase is the inReach mini. Trips to the arctic, Africa, and Africa again in the next 6 months demand this. This watch will pair with the inReach, so I can send satellite text messages from my watch. Bam.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Exactly what I’ve been wanting. The Instinct is exactly what I’ve been look for. It has all the functions and widgets I need. Looked at the Sapphires but after comparing them both there’s functions I wouldn’t use and was a little clunky for me. Plus the Sapphire price range was a little much for not needing all the functions. The Instinct is a nice size and really light on the wrist. Only gave 4 stars because I haven’t used the track back feature yet, but looking forward to using it on this years elk hunts and scouting. It’ll give me time to get use to navigating through all the watch functions and features. Overall great watch and easy to set up and sink to my phone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Watch!!! I wanted a heart rate monitor to track my activity. This watch does this and more. The band is soft so I keep it on all the time. I’ll buy a couple extra bands in case one breaks. I love the sleep tracker as well. You need to download the app and connect it to the watch to see everything it can do but the details are very thorough. I haven’t used the GPS feature except to see my house location. The only down side so far is that you need to charge the watch from a USB source. Four days and it’s still fully charged. Mine is the bright orange color so if I get lost in the woods searchers will find me ;) :) Keep on hiking

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Reasonable watch I just bought this watch and it is OK for the very basic functions...the big problem is that the information is in imperial measurements instaed of metric...that is hopeless if you are not in the USA or UK. The print on notifications is a bit too small. The data given should be more orientated to an international style instead of being so limited. I could not reccomend this watch to anybody because it does not do the things I want the way I want it and there is limited back up and help from garmin. There was absolutely no mention that the watch is in imperial information with no conversion ability to metric. HOPELESS !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Above expectation I purchased this watch after previously owning watches from competitive brands. It has exceeded my expectations thus far and performed much better than anything I’ve used before. The battery life is excellent and it tracks distance and activity extremely well. The fit is very comfortable. The app has the ability to customize and give you information that other products I’ve used in the past can not.
