Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rear and sub speakers won’t connect most of time. Purchased this a few weeks ago. Really great sound when it’s all synced up. But Literally 9 out 10 time’s I switch it on the rear speakers and the sub does not automatically pair. I have to switch them off at the power and it will sync. It must be faulty because 1/10 time’s it will pair with the soundbar. The blue lights on the back of the rear speakers and woofer are showing constant blue which indicates it’s paired but no sound coming out of either. Samsung any assistance please? Other points, as others have said, having the display on the top is a bit useless and there are no speaker stand options out there like you get for the Sonos for example.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Sound but lacks the Ground shaking bass Picked up 2days ago, went from a THX accredited Logitec Z5500 5.1 surround sound system, which shook my house and made you feel like you were there when explosions hit etc, which is my HW950T's biggest disappointment needs bigger subwoofer or maybe 4 more, soundbar was loud and overpowering the subwoofer was just lacking in my opinion. But when Dolby ATMOS is in use and sound tracking On my QLED TV, it sounds amazing. But this is my first soundbar and don't know much about older soundbars or what they suppose to sound like. For the price, it shouldn't be lacking or advertising ground shaking bass. But the soundbar alone and rear speakers are amazing...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from HW-Q950T SOUNDBAR 2020 I bought this sound bar last week, plugged it in, The Dolby Atmos on Netflix sounds great, once the soundbar worked, problem was the Subwoofer is not loud enough, the rear speakers and sub woofer distorted, and sometimes drop out, i cant believe you have to stand up and go look over the top of the soundbar to view what your changing to, why does it not come up on the TV? Anyway i rang Samsung and they came to pick it up and take for tests, they have had it for 4 days now with no feedback as yet, If they can resolve the sound issues and it works properly its sounds amazing, but let see once it comes back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just Incredible! Picked up the HW-Q950T 2 days ago at The Good Guys Thomastown-Thanks Dragi!, and had it set up in less than hour. The Sound is incredible with plenty of adjustments available. The rear speakers deliver a significantly better volume than past models, I have upgraded from a HW-K950. Follow the setup instructions, and it will not disappoint. Connect the SmartThings app. Have tested Dolby Atmos with XBOX ONE X Dolby App and Games, Netflix etc. Even the TV sound has improved via EARC (Series 7 65"). Don't let the price scare you, definitely worth the investment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome, but lacking features from previous model I pre-ordered the Q950T as soon as it was available. Have been using it for almost a week now and overall it is an amazing soundbar, bar a few let downs. Main issue is the upwards facing small display. Having to stand up and walk across the room to confirm sound mode etc is quite annoying especially when the SmartThings app does not cater for all available settings. The Q90r had a front facing display, but the Q950t just has three leds to indicate volume up/down. Bit of an oversight. Otherwise, it has punchy bass and very clear immerside audio. Unable to test out atmos just yet but I am sure it will be as good or better than last years Q90r.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Awesome sound quality I thinks that there's probably nothing out there that can match the sound quality of this new system. The Sonos Arc doesn't even come close, however that's only when the rears and sub are synced! I've had it for 24hrs and had to re sync the system 4 times. I'm pretty sure that when I go back to turn it back on, either the sub, rear speakers or both will not be synchronized. Samsung, PLEASE FIX THIS!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lots of bugs Bought it 6 weeks ago. At the start I was positively surprised how easy and out of the box it worked. Then in the coming weeks I discovered all the problems it has. This is with based on SW version 1016: - Every so often one of the wireless speakers completely stops working and needs power cycling (happened with both rears and the sub). - No PCM 5.1 or 7.1 - It quite often disconnects/reconnects Wifi even though the router is maybe 5 meters away (not directly line of sight, but doors open and walls not too thick) - I'm playing my media through a Nvidia Shield Pro 2019 and maybe 2-5 times per movie, regardless TrueHD, AC3 or EAC3, the sound cuts out for half a second while the picture keeps moving. Tried all sorts of settings, 3 different HDMI cables incl. V2.1. Shield plugged straight into soundbar, tried HDMI1 and HDMI2 port. It's not the Shield, it works fine without the soundbar. I regret my purchase and won't be buying Samsung again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Half-baked but good when it works This is a nice soundbar when it works, but it has so many strange caveats and problems that I'm considering returning it. Such an expensive product shouldn't have so many compromises. Pros: Pretty good sound stage, and nice audio quality on Standard mode Seems to mostly work out of the box (make sure you plug in surrounds and sub first). Auto-updates so no need to plug in USB in bottom Annoyances: The display on the top of the sound bar is practically useless, thankfully it mostly switches inputs on its own 90% of the time. The fabric coating is a dust / cat hair magnet. The manual is incredibly lacking, glossing over settings. No automatic room calibration seems like a huge oversight in such an expensive sound bar. This is further exacerbated by the lack of a test sound, so calibrating is a pain. The space for HDMI connections is small, so if you have thick shielded cables you may have a hard time bending them 90 degrees. No graphic equaliser for Audio modes other than Standard. Bad: No LPCM 5.1 / 7.1 support, so you get sub-par surround from PS4 SmartThings app doesn't have half of the settings, so you have to use the built-in display to calibrate your sound bar. Bass is quite soft. Depends on how you like your sound but it needs turning up
