Great but eats a lot of battery
Never had a fabric shaver in the past and decided to invest in one and found this the best based on reviews. Was initially really happy with my purchase. But upon using it for sometime I've realised how many batteries i've wasted on it because it doesn't last very long. The device itself is much costlier than the average lint shaver and with the added costs of batteries it becomes way too expensive. Functonality wise can't fault it. Gets bobble off different kinds of materials. Personally picked it up for my crepe shirt but have used it on others too with impressive results. Overall a brilliant gadget and would have recommended it had it not been for the batteries.

Performance is good-- but be wary of battery cover and reservoir sliding off!
There are many cheap fabric shavers available online, but given the wavering reviews in reliability I decided to choose a more expensive option from a major brand.
The primary consideration for my overall rating rests on the performance of this product. This fabric shaver removes medium-size bobbles and significant fuzz on jumpers quite well. The shaver struggles on the first few passes with very large bobbles or fine fuzz.
However, you must develop a technique which depends on the knit, weight, and type of fabric. Gliding the shaver carelessly or quickly across a garment won't give you the best results. Use an ironing board if possible in a very well-lit area. I also recommend looking at the garment from odd angles or wearing it-- if you're detail-oriented, you may spot pilling you couldn't see before. Additionally, move the shaver slowly with the grain of the fabric. More often than not, you must pass over an area several times to restore fabric to a like-new state.
The reservoir for fuzz and bobbles will fill up very quickly. Fuzz also sticks in the rotating blades which will slow rotations per minute [RPM]. If you hear the pitch of the motor dropping (meaning slower rotation), turn it off and clean the blades. At this price, you don't want to burn out the motor.
There are a few quality control and/or design flaws. The battery cover slips off with the lightest touch. The reservoir slips off quite easily too - not so great when you're shaving a jumper and fuzz flies everywhere!
After a great deal of shaving (at least 6 garments and 20 minutes per garment), the motor seems to be working at a lower RPM. However this could be related to low battery power.
The small brush included with the shaver is very useful at removing fuzz from crevices in the shaver head and around the blades.
The two year warranty only covers manufacturing defects and not general wear. The blades-- mounted on a thin plastic disc-- feels fairly insignificant in my hands. Exercise caution when handling this as it may be prone to breakage.
Overall, this is a good investment if you use it wisely, but mind the slippery covers.

Works really well
I had a different one that lasted me about 38 years ,and this one was closest in design.
It works really well.
It seems well made and i see no reason why it shouldn't last a very long time. It is better made than my old one.
My wife is also very pleased with it.
Thoroughly recommend.

Brilliant! Resurrected clothes that were too pilled to wear
I'm so happy to have found this little gem! I have beautiful jackets in lovely colours that I can't find replacements for - fashions have changed. This gadget, though extremely time consuming to do the job, has shaved all the pilling off and my jackets are almost like new. I'm really impressed.
You need to follow the instructions, ie use a flat surface like an ironing board as otherwise it grabs the fabric and jams up, as well as putting a hole in the fabric. But once I did as I was instructed, haven't had a problem since. When it jammed up one of the blades came free but I managed to get it back together again using 2 pairs of plyers.
Buy one! You'll be very pleased you did! :-)

Easy, breezy clothing shaver easy.
This is such a good clothing shaver. Although it looks like a neat hand-held size like most of the cheaper options you can get from Target/Big W etc, this has a massive head - about 2 inches in diameter - which makes working over a cardigan or jumper very quick and easy. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a clothing shaver. It’s the best I’ve used/seen.

Renews old pilled jumpers to as new condition.
This has got to be the best thing that I have purchased in recent times. Does the job perfectly. It has saved a couple of old pilled jumpers from the bin!! Very therapeutic in lockdown to sit and rejuvenate pilled and fuzzy woollen and cotton garments.
