Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didnt work out of the box Straight out of the box it doesn't work. I cant even get it to turn on. Put a bag in, press down twice to get the green indicators on both sides. If I push down extremely hard on one side the green LED lights up for a second and then the red temperature light flashes and the unit turns itself off. Looked in the manual in the trouble shooting section and there is nothing about the red indicator light. Extremely frustrating. My worse purchase to date. I'll be taking back for a refund.

The instructions were easy to read I give them that this item didn't work I could only get it to work if I held the to sides with presser I did everything the book said I did research online thinking I am doing something wrong I think I have bought a dud

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Don't give up We bought this yesterday because we had a load of beetroot from the garden to preserve and freeze. The instructions were not detailed enough, so we searched YouTube and found some helpful videos. You have to tuck the end of the bag into the drip tray to activate the vacuum part. Then wait for the red light to go out, leaving one green light to show it's sealed. For things like beetroot you must have the "moist" function on. After trial and error, wasting a few bags, we got the result we wanted.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dont buy it I have used it for the first time and its a complete waste of time you spend more time trying to turn it on then try and seal food good luck it might 1/2 seal 1 bag out of 4 and you food spends more time on the counter than it should so dont waste ytour money and leave your food in the fridge

Rated 5 out of 5 by from VERY easy to use. Space and cost saver Very easy to use with just a few basic steps to make it work. The food compacts very tight so saves a lot of space in your fridge/ freezer. It does make some noise when the vacuum pump is operating but nothing unbearable for the short time that it's running per seal. We can now buy a little more bulk quantities and then split them out in to smaller portions, thus saving us money.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from GOOD FOR DRY NOT WET OR MOIST I Just bought the sunbeam VS6100 4 days ago and it is great for dry food and steak but just tried doing mushroom and because they were a a little moist it would not seal even using the wet button , I have read reviews on this problem and they say to place a paper towel or paper inside the bag to catch the moisture, I do not know why you should have to do this when the item states that it can do soups and stews , maybe if you buy the containers and spend another $$$ plus on utensils

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fail, sealer only robust to work with dry contents Bought today and very quickly the limitation of this machine became obvious. It can only robustly seal when the contents of the bag are dry. Clearly the machine makes a pretence of functionality with liquid present by including a "Patented removable dishwasher-safe drip tray". Further it only warns in the instructions not to allow this tray to fill up with liquids or it will "render the machine unusable". No mention of the sealing system not reliably working when a small amount of liquid has passed over the 'to be sealed' surface and entered the drip tray. After several attempts we root caused the sealing problem to the presence of liquid from our meat. With a mostly vacuumed bag and incomplete seal we dried out the open top of the bag with paper towel and hey presto the sealer worked to create a perfect seal. Can you believe the instructions suggest preventing liquid being drawn into the drip tray by INSERTING A PAPER TOWEL inside the bag with your food. Just lovely, what a kind nonsensical tip. I want to use this device to prepare sous-vide foods. I DONT WANT TO COOK MY FOOD WITH A PAPER TOWEL INSIDE THE BAG! Give me a break Tomorrow I'm straight back to the Melb city store [in QV] to get my money back.

How many days to delivey in Auckland? How much delivery cost? Is possible click & collect in Auckland store during Lockdown level 3 ?

Thanks for your question Apple. There is stock in Auckland stores currently so delivery should not take too long. We aim to dispatch orders within 48 hours of orders being placed, from there, it could be on courier for 1 to 2 business days or more depending on additional volumes. Delivery costs can be found when going through our secure checkout process. You will be able to click & collect this product once Auckland is in Alert Level 3. Hope this helps!
