Rated 3 out of 5 by from This Dental Hygienist says... This is a fantastic concept and WHEN it works, gets great results. Patients can easily handle it and get to challenging places with ease like around implants and under fixed bridgework. It also delivers the mouth rinse under the gums which helps kill the bacteria that hide there. I definitely see the results in my patients who use it. Now to the downside. There is a definite issue with performance and quality control in the product itself which needs to be addressed by Phillips ASAP> Several patients have reported that unit upon unit is failing. I encourage them to call your customer service and give feedback. Wake up Phillips!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great Idea But Certainty NOT Reliable NOR Worth the $$ Great Idea But Certainty NOT Reliable NOR Worth the $$ Our family DOES floss and so they liked the idea of the air/water flosser. Everyone used either the air feature; or used it with mouthwash or peroxide or just plain water. We bought a two pack. First, one of the battery chargers died. Then one of the flossers would not recharge. Needless to say, the air flossers are OF NO USE to us now. It has ended up being VERY Very very expensive floss! We bought it because we believed that Phillips was a reliable manufacturer. We have spoken to others who have bought the air flosser and they had similar issues. Just wished we had waited till more reviews came out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Flawed, but essential to my regimen! While my Sonicare toothbrush seems to run forever without fail. I am on my fifth AirFloss device in five years. Its Achilles heel, is the reservoir lid which holds the water or rinse agent used in AirFlossing. The hinge detaches within the first few weeks of use...and must then be replaced manually after filling the reservoir. It's a basic design issue that still plagues the AirFloss years after its introduction. But, in its defense, no other product does its job as well as the AirFloss. The two products, Sonicare Toothbrush and Sonicare AirFloss should be purchased together. It's an unbeatable combo, despite the AirFloss' flaws.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very poor longevity I have been through three air flossers in less than five years. Each unit has just quit working. It appears to fully charge the battery, all of the lights come on. But as soon as I press the discharge button the lights go out and the unit turns off. Possibly shorting out? After the first one quit working, I was extremely careful with the replacement as to not get any excess water or mouthwash spilled and NEVER have immersed it in any liquid. The second one died faster than the first. And the third one faced the same fate.... I really did like the air floss when it worked. But I’m done with spending time and money replacing every year or so.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Love it when it works ~ however, that isn't for very long. This is the second Airfloss I have owned. Both of them quit working within weeks of me purchasing them. I absolutely love the way this product makes my mouth feel right after flossing with it. I always used mouth wash. However, after only a few weeks, it quit dispensing the mouth wash. Unfortunately, due to the design of this product, I am unable to take the piece off that sends the liquid through to your teeth. So......that being said, I would definitely NOT recommend this flosser. I also own a Sonicare toothbrush, which I have had for almost 8 years and LOVE it. No idea what the design flaw is in this particular item.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!! On recommendation, I purchased this unit from my dentist for helping with the beginnings of periodontal disease. I was always under the impression Philips made quality products. This product has definitely changed my mind. My unit has been replaced THREE times! The first one stopped working within a month. The second lasted less than two months. The third one lasted six months. Thankfully, there's a warranty! They just stop working and only emit a high pitch whining sound. SO discouraging. Total waste of money! If I could have given it a negative star I would!

I have been a dedicated Sonicare toothbrush user since it first appeared on the market and resulted in less cleaning by my dentist. I bought an Air Floss Pro a month ago because it was a portable alternative to a water jet for travel even though it does not do exactly the same job. Within one week, it stopped delivering water with the air rendering it essentially ineffective. Prior to that I was very happy with the job it was doing. I will take it back for warranty replacement, but after reading the reviews I feel that there seems to be an inherent flaw in the design. I'm very disappointed that Phillips have put out such an unreliable product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I had to return this product twice because it stopped working after a few days. I bought this flosser on the recommendation of my dentist but was extremely disappointed when the first one stopped working after I used it for a week. The unit would not turn on even though I made sure I was operating it properly and it was fully charged with the green light indicator on. I figured I must have gotten a bad unit and I returned it and got another one. This one also stopped working after about four days. I gave up and returned the unit. I also found that the reservoir made it a little awkward to hold while pressing the on button and manipulating it around my mouth.
