Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it but technical issues -- had to return Was excited to have this unit. I swim laps and the MP3 function is great. As other reviewers have written, it takes getting used to to switch between phone mode and MP3 mode, but I now have the hang of it to lock it. Also. the downloading of songs from the computer was a little glitchy. I found that if you try to copy more than a few songs at a time it crashes. By trial and error, I found that doing it in batches helped. The problem I had was that one ear would shut off after being at the top of water in about 30 minutes. After it happened a few times, I called customer support to get a new one under warranty. My only issue is that I did not want to be without it for a few weeks-- so I bought another one to have as a back up while the first was being replaced. Hopefully a next generation version will make the unit more user friendly and less glitchy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great sound quality Let me start with describing my usage of headphones. I workout daily for about an hour and a half. I listen to my music loud and I do not like when the headphones interfere with my concentration. This pair had the excellent sound quality but fell short on the interfering part. The cord that connects them is rather short so it stays tight to my head and pulls on the earpieces. The second part is the battery life... I can't complain too much but I have used pairs before that stay in a charging case, giving me weeks of play time. No ding for the case part but the cord needs to be bigger. Basic breakdown, the sound quality is amazing but if you have a bigger head... this isn't for you. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great sound - but a big no for swimming 10 days ago i decided to add the Endurance Dive to my stable of 10+ JBL products, and I was quite torn between the Run version and having to fork out anouthe 1000 ZAR for the Dive version. I swim 30-45 minutes every day and the idea of being able to break the boredom with underwater earphones seemed like the investment was worth it. During initial testing the sound was incredible, but the first time I hit the water, the one earphone went very soft. Since then is has been a game of limbo between which side of the earphones is working or not. I have tried all the earpieces, tried pulling the swimming cap over the earphones, you name it, but no change in results. The moment you hit the water, you are stuch with 1 earpiece working and reduced sound in the remaining one. Since the products name describes the one function that is is supposed to support, "dive" I am super dissapointed in the lack of underwater performance, and seriously regret the purchase. Time will tell whether the shope will allow me to return it for a refund, as it does not deliver to the expectations, which is really sad. I have never had issues with any of my JBL products before and have known them for the exeptional quality they stand for.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Durable headphones, but... I have had these for a while now and really like them. They have a good strong Bluetooth connection, sound great and are very comfortable. It takes a couple of uses to get all the button commands down. My biggest disappointment is that they are advertised as having enough room for up to 200 songs (which is about right) downloaded to play with the mp3 player function, BUT the file structure actually only allows it to play correctly with 100 songs max. If you put more than 100 songs on it, then the mp3 doesn't function. Very disappointing that this isn't mentioned as the reality is that you can really only use about half the space that is available. Beyond that, these are a very nice Bluetooth headphone that is very durable with great battery life.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I wanted to love these... I just purchased these headphones a couple weeks ago, and while I really do like the sound quality, and are overall good headphones for working out, they are not good for swimming unfortunately. The controls are so sensitive that as soon as I submerge the music will stop and it beeps like its switching modes. Very frustrating especially because I bought these just for swimming.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product I bought this product two weeks ago, and the only problem I've had is that sometimes they don't stay in my ears, but for the most part, they do. (I'm learning to put them in better.) I really love the mp3 feature, which is the main reason I bought them. I think the only thing that wound make them better would be "wings" added to the ear tips for better stability. (Not sure if that's a possibility, but just a suggestion.) Also, not being able to control the music through files is another small issue, but not a deal breaker. The Endurance Peak would be perfect if they had an mp3 player. I haven't gone swimming with them yet, but I will soon, and will let you know how that goes. Also, the cord could be about 3 inches longer. Overall, it's a great product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Total garbage They don’t hold a connection. I’ll put them on, get them connected and within seconds they lose the connection and I can’t get it back. Today I dropped them and the entire earpiece fell off never to be found again. Don’t waste your money on this overpriced piece of trash. I don’t know about the waterproof part - since I never got the things to work on dry land.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Twist Lock Doesn't Lock Effecting Sound Quality I bought the endurance dive 1 month ago based on the in built MP3 and of course the reputation of JBL providing great sound. Used purely during cardio and weight training I have become frustrated with the lack of lock in place and that this then effects the sound quality you receive. I have tried all of the different ear buds but nothing seems to work. It seems to me that they are too small, the cable is too short, ear piece too short and this tends to cause the system to rotate out. Especially once wet and when moving.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No consistency in sound My husband got these for me for Christmas because I use headphones all day at work. I've had them for 3 months now and I always have trouble connecting with my bluetooth on my phone. Sometimes it would sound really low and staticky even if I turned my volume all the way up it still sounds very low. I would have to disconnect and try connecting again before it works properly. Not only that but today they won't even turn on. I had them connected to a charger all weekend so I know it's not low battery. Not very happy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like a feather on your ears I am a fan of JBL products and I am using this product for a while during my workout and was really impressed with the sound quality. The ergonomics of this product is taken care so well, they were so comfortable even wearing for longer hours. This is a perfect product for your daily workouts and running.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Volume very poor I bought these headphones for swimming laps. The fact they only last for a maximum of 30 mins in the water then they stop is very annoying as I swim for at least 60 mins. The volume in the water is very low, with splashing etc the volume is not loud enough. Very disappointing overall.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unreliable I've owned two pairs of these. I bought a second pair after having issues with the first because I sweat like crazy when I work out and hoped that the water proof qualities would help them last longer. With both pairs, however, I had issues from the very beginning. The controls are not very intuitive and are difficult to figure out. Often the speakers seem to have a mind of their own, turning off and on if the backpack they are in moves or switching modes if I'm running on a cold day and my body heat warms them. Both had issues within a few weeks of ownership with the volume increasing or decreasing or just muting, independent of the internal volume controls. I'm angry at myself for having paid so much (twice) for such an inferior product that has caused me so much frustration.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great addition to daily workout! I received this product few days back and it was a great addition to my daily routine. I have been using this at my work attending online meetings, listening to video and audio tutorials and the best part of it is, it boosted my daily workout with blasting music. This products fits perfectly in your ears and are really comfortable to wear for longer duration. The touch controls are decent and are really helpful in controlling the device smoothly. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great set of ear buds Very happy so far...I was able to load music into the MP3 player however the format must be MP3 only. I tried loading songs directing from iTunes MP4 format and I had no luck getting that format to work. MP3 is the only format that works.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad headphones, don't buy In a word: disappointment. Do not sit well on the ear and fall while swimming and audio quality in swimming is just awful. I am very disappointed. It is appropriate that a company like jbl stop selling this product immediately!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Low Volume I have several other JBL products that I’m happy with. Received these and to hear the music you have to turn them all the way up and at that music is just above a whisper. Very disappointed and wish there was a fix.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too many button combinations... I was looking for a good swimming and bluetooth running pair of headphones. The sound quality was really tinny and having to memorize a bunch of button combinations to lock the headphones (prior to swimming), switch between mp3 or bluetooth was super confusing. I disliked the headphones for running as you couldn't hear anything going on around you. Fit was good, they are super light and battery is great. JBL needs to add buttons and redesign the ear pod then this would be a winner.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Finding it does not stay connected It has a very short Bluetooth range and I’m finding it basically useless for swimming laps if i place my Base halfway down the lane. No problem at all if I’m right next to it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable and great sound These feel like you have nothing on your ears when putting them on. Great sound isolation but small case so they might turn on in the bag.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don’t waste your money I bought this headset to use during swimming drills. However, every time I go underwater the headset turns off. i’m very disappointed in this product, and if I could I would give it zero stars. The main purpose in which I purchased this headset does not work. JBL should take this product off the market, as it is false advertisement and I would really like to receive my money back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Features! I have been using my JBL ENDURANCE Dive wireless earphones non stop since I bought them. They are water proof, allowing me to swim with them. I have also worked out with them, and they are wonderful! My ears stay dry! The controls are on the earphone itself, so it is easy to use. The sound is impeccable! JBL never disappoints with amazing sound. I love the fact that they are blue tooth allowing me to make phone calls and listen to my music. The only reason it did not get a 5 star rating, is because you cannot stream music while in the water. You must change them over to mp3. They do allow you to store music in them and listen that way, but it takes time to put your music in. Music is at our fingertips now. Overall, these are pretty amazing! Great sound, great features! Rated 2 out of 5 by from So Conflicted About These I think these sound really good and maybe if I was just using them for land workouts they'd be fine but I'm a swimmer and I have a HUGE problem with these. The MP3 lock function is EXTREMELY touchy and difficult to make happen. It says you are supposed to tap twice and then hold for 5 seconds to lock into MP3 mode for swimming but it only works 1 out of 40 times that you try it. The trick is to tap twice so fast it almost feels like you only tapped once. It's a major issue because if you can't get it to lock on MP3 mode while swimming they are USELESS. Everytime you go underwater they switch back to Bluetooth which is so dumb because Bluetooth doesnt work underwater anyway. Once I got the MP3 lock to turn on after FOURTY FIVE MINUTES of tapping and trying (I am not the only one with this problem) it was a great product! The hooks are a little big for my ears and don't even think about trying to put your cap over the top of your ears because it messes with the buttons, but the sound is surprisingly really good and they didn't fall out at all during a 2 hour lap swim full of flipturns, so I'm impressed in that aspect. I would have given these 5 stars if the MP3 lock function actually worked as its supposed to, but again, if that doesn't work most of the time then these are absolutely useless to me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Major control problems I really like these, when I can get them to work. Does anyone have problems with them constantly switching back and forth from trying to pair bluetooth to MP3? It takes almost 10 minutes before they decide to stay on one mode. It automatically does this itself, which is incredibly frustrating. The other thing is mine will skip the end of songs on MP3 mode, even when in lock mode and not sure why?
