Sony WH1000XM3 Wireless Noise Cancelling Over-Ear Headphones - Black is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 1657.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Left hand head phone stopped working after a week. I purchased these headphones after reading reviews on them. I had a pair of Sony wh-1000xm2 that gave me great service but were on their last legs. On the second day of purchase the sound in the left hand headphone started to cut out intermittently and by the third day the sound had totally gone. I went through the Sony repair service which wasn’t the most straight forward or user friendly process. After this experience I don’t think I shall be purchasing Sony head phones again, mainly through the hassle of getting them repaired. Post them off then wait for confirmation. Then they get posted back. This is going to take a while.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing noise cancelling & extremely comfortable! I bought these a couple of weeks ago to replace my trusty Bose QC35s. I've been a Bose user for years but having read several reviews about the XM3's, particularly in my Which magazine, I decided it was time for a change. Am I glad that I did! The noise cancelling is astoundingly good & a further bonus is that they are really comfortable. As I use these particularly on long haul flights, the ability to adjust for aircraft altitude is a further added bonus. The Android app gives the user endless opportunities to change numerous settings to get exactly the desired sound reproduction. In summation, do I like my new Sony's. YES, YES, YES!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The Noise Cancellation Function Is BROKEN This is the second pair of these headphones I've purchased and probably my last. I have an almost constant hissy crackling sound (like wind is constantly running through) in the right ear. It's only present when noise cancellation is turned on, which means these headphones are hugely expensive while failing to meet the main function I need. The first pair I had suffered from the same problem and Sony was unable to repair, so this is likely a built-in fault. Real shame as the sound quality is otherwise outstanding. I will be seeking a refund and getting a pair of Bose headphones again (which I didn't really want to do). It's totally ruined listening to music.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good headphones but not gr8 for Calls I got the headphones as a anniversary present and they are gr8 in terms of comfort sound and noise cancelling. However I use them a lot for phone calls and the mic was alright but when you place a call then automatically all the sound from outside gets through the ANC mics and you kinda hear yourself twice! Sony calls that the "side tone function" and you can't turn that off in the Sony app whilst on a call. I find this a massive shame as the jabra app does offer that and it works gr8! (Screenshot attached). I returned the headphones for now, and k would definitely go back to them if Sony adds the option to stop that noise from coming through whilst on a phone call!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sound great but major flaw Comfy, sound is very good, noise cancelling is perfect. Major flaw - you cannot turn off notifications on android - i.e. every alert/notification I receive on my phone interrupts whatever I'm listening to. Despite endless tweaking of settings within; Android, the Sony headphones app and even the pixel developer UI and nothing prevents the pushed notification sound (even Do not disturb) Have raised ticket and scoured online forums - no response/solution - the only manageable thing I can get to work is airplane mode (not ideal in 2019 considering the majority of my media services require internet and I shouldn't have to turn off notifications for all apps just to use this product)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from slightly over-complex headphones I bought these as I had forgotten my Bose headphones and I had four long flights coming up through SIngapore to Sydney and back again. I may be old (55) but I couldn't get the phone to connect to them without doing it manually and once connected manually it still doesn't connect wirelessly to my phone - so I use wires. I suspect it might need some fiddling around deleting old devices - maybe even adding COM ports for PC/tablet. It was fine for the plane but the controls on the bins are impenetrable as far as I can tell - you touch it and it does something but no idea what or why - didn't try for long admittedly but why should I need a trainer for headphones?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic headphones! I bought these headphones after my beats had broken and these Sony ones are well worth the money! You can hear the quality of music is great and the noise cancelling is really effective (I live above a train station and it blocks out the sound of most trains). The only slightly annoying thing is having to pair Bluetooth again after disconnecting from one device. However I don’t know any headphones this good that can do that yet. The little beep when the auto control is on and changes from noise cancelling to ambient sound is slightly annoying because it does it so often. All in all, fab headphones and would definitely recommend!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Horrible Call quality ruins the entire deal I bought this 3 weeks ago. Noise cancellation and sound are absolutely wonderful. But the Headphones connect app and call quality ruin the entire experience for me. The app resets the settings everytime I reconnect my headphone. Setting it at the level of ambient noise I need is a manual process every single time I reconnect to the app. And there are annoying beeps when activity changes in the adaptive sound control mode. Above all, mic is absolutely the worst. People on the other end aren't able to make out anything from what they hear. They hear really muffled low quality voice. This is horrible for the price range the product is sold at.
