Technics Wireless Noise Cancelling Over-Ear Headphones - Silver is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'll never use earbuds again As a regular train commuter who usually uses bundled EarPods to listen to music and podcasts these are next level! So so clear and just full of oomph! The spoken word is crystal clear and the ability to hold your hand over the cup to hear announcements is great. Getting used to the size but I won't be going back to my old pods. Fantastic quality and really comfy to wear. Totally recommended. I was given these headphones by Technics to review as part of a Reviewer programme.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great headphones I have been working with these headphones for a week now and am super impressed with them. As an owner and user of a vintage 1980s Technics hi-fi separates system I didn't need much persuading to try these out when offered. The sound quality, both music and spoken word, is awesome. They cope with everything from Mozart to Queen with immaculate clarity and the noise cancellation option means you can listen without any outside interference unless needed. The headphones are comfortable to wear and easily sit over the ear, making the sound quality and noise cancelling function top class. I'm still working through some of the functions mentioned in the comprehensive instruction manual and happily have younger members of the family who are more than keen to show me the extent of options on offer. Any excuse to get the headphones off me! The only negative for me - if there has to be one - is that I do not find it easy to identify the buttons on the headphones by touch (they are quite small) - but I will happily continue using the headphones until I can confidently get it right. I received these headphones from Panasonic and have reviewed them as part of a reviewer programme.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product has the wow factor Firstly I was very impressed with the packaging and how they arrived, it looked like a very high end luxurious item. Having tried them on I was pleased with how light and comfortable they felt and looked forward to trying all of the features. I was not disappointed; I listened to The Who, Bob Marley and The Specials off my laptop. The vocals and instruments all sounded amazing. After charging the headphones I tried the Bluetooth function, this worked really well with my smartphone. I have listened to music using different types of audio kit; CD player, turntable and BlueRay. All of them sounded fantastic, especially my Prince 1999 Super Deluxe boxset. The only improvement I can think of is minor; a longer cable with a 3.5mm - 6.35mm audio jack. This product was given by Technics to review as part of a reviewer programme.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones The Headphones come with in a nice looking high quality carry case. The instruction pack included a dedicated English basic owners manual to get you started. A little thing but it wasn't at the front of the pack. You need to charge the device for 4 hours before they can be used. Be patient as worth it. Pairing is easy at one press of a button. Controls at first take a bit getting used to but that is because it can do so much. Really up to you how much functionality you want, but it's all there. The volume button is easy to find and has a quality smooth feel to it. However what you really want from these headphones is freedom of leads, comfort and most of all the sound quality. I played 4 different tracks to get a feel from old to new downloaded Apple Music tracks. First up ABBA dancing queen. I could certainly hear sounds in the track not heard before. Put on the noise cancelling to high level and it worked well. Lots of other sounds in the room and apparently my wife was speaking to me for ages but I was in my own world. Next up Need Some Air by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. Again sound was good with good balance across all frequencies. Next up my favourite song of all time, the latest live version of Love Sing by Simple Minds downloaded in the last week. The sound was really good. I love bass but some speakers and headphones can be too harsh and some too low. Not these headphones, they have got it bang on. Next up Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds track This is the Place. The sound is bouncing on this one and really enjoying the bass. Comfort. They feel slightly heavy at first. The ear pads covered my ears perfectly. They felt secure on the head. The headphones have a genuine high quality look and feel giving the benefit of wireless, noise cancellation, comfort and with what really matters excellent sound quality. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent sound. As you open the packaging for the EAH-F70N headphones you can tell this is a quality product. Fit and finish is to a very high standard and they feel and look high end. The folding earpieces fit neatly into the supplied carry case. Other accessories supplied are a USB charging lead, no mains charger though, 3.5mm short lead and an aircraft adaptor. I would have preferred a ½" to 3.5mm converter instead of the latter so I could feed from my Hi-Fi. The earmuffs are full size enclosing the ear as opposed to sitting on the ear this gives good sealing against external sounds and at the same time they do not excessively clamp the head. Together with their light weight means the headphones are very comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. After charging the headphones are turned on using a small button on the right earpiece together with buttons to switch the noise cancelling and a multifunction button. These are very small and I found operating these whilst wearing the headphones very difficult indeed. Bluetooth connected instantly to my iPad and whilst great for convenience I found the cabled option best for ultimate sound quality. Wired to my iPad and streaming hi-res material immediately gave the sense of very high quality sound. Bass is very extended without being over emphasised as is often found on some headphones. Treble is smooth and detailed with good attack to transients and imaging is very solid. Connected to my Sony ZX1 hi-res player which has a low audio output gave more than adequate level and playing stored hi-res files gave extremely good results. I have not used the noise cancelling function with loud background sounds but switching it in circuit did not alter the sound quality. Summing up the EAH-F70N headphones are definitely a high end product which give a very satisfactory listening experience especially with Hi-Res material. Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good premium bluetooth headphones even better when wired! Listening to a variety of iThing content (iPhone 7 and first generation iPad Air) as well as a Ruark R5 one-box system, sound quality was good with a wide scale and soundstage. Pop tracks such as Taylor Swift's 'The Man', Justin Bieber's 'Sorry' had clarity with an ability to distinguish multi-tracked vocals and percussion details. In Bluetooth-mode, the F70's seem particularly suited to more acoustic tracks - Panic! At the Disco's 'Dying in LA', John Martyn's 'Bless the Weather' and Trevor Horn & Rumor's orchestral re-working of 'Slave to the Rhythm', were all delivered with clarity and scale. This was particularly true of Lisa Stansfield's The Rain - a soaring track with real dynamic range and a great 'test' of any system. In wireless mode, a disappointment was bass and lower frequencies at volume - pounding tracks were slightly distorted, the bass sounding 'wooden' and somewhat lumpy. Switching to passive (non-powered) WIRED mode through the cable was a revelation. The headphones entered a different league, the slight bluetooth 'hiss' disappeared and all the 'wooden' bass was replaced with pace and power - Hurts 'Thinking of You' became more three dimensional, whilst maintaining detail around the multi-tracked vocals. The same was true with Hi-Res FLAC tracks such as The Eagles Hotel California, George Michael's Too Funky and Laurie Anderson & Kronos Quarter's orchestral and spoken-word album Landfall. At this price point, it's fair to expect a certain level of 'headphone heaven'. Given that these are squarely marketed as wireless Bluetooth headphones, the compromise in bass quality at volume was a little disappointing. If you're listening to mainly acoustic or spoken word content this won't be an issue. They're a solid 3 out of 5 in Bluetooth mode but 4+ 'wired' - defeating the object? Recommend a 'try before you buy' with some pounding drum 'n bass or EDM if that's your thing! This product was supplied as part of the Technics Reviewer programme

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Noise Cancelling Bluetooth Headphones QUALITY & DESIGN They have a minimal design ,with large Branded metal discs on the outside faces, both ear pods are large and feel well built, and are easily adjustable. Fitted with large sponged outers that fit over both ears ' sealing ' them in . A clever folding design allows them to fold neatly away into carrying case . COMFORT & FIT On the head they feel very comfortable ,even after many hours of use ,the floating pads find the position that suits your head size and shape , and remain firmly in position . PERFORMANCE Great deep base sound, clear distinction between treble and mids, vocals are outstanding - Adele - When we were young simply amazing - sharp and clear, never needing to go beyond a third max volume.however, when pushed hard, still kept very good clarity. Controls are at bottom of RH ear pod, along with charging point, also placing hand on RH pod mutes volume to hear outside sounds .All play functions are used via a single button on RH pod. Removing phones from head ,automatically pauses music, and will resume once placed back on head,a great function to have . Noise cancellation has 3 levels of use - low medium and high - which work really well with constant background noise . Battery charge time is 20 hours - my experience is more than that - volume has a bearing here. A power update is given, every time power is turned off . Bluetooth is easy to set up,and works very well, need to keep close to device for best use - answering phone was fast and easy, one button press on RH pad - keep on head during conversation . CONCLUSION Having owned a pair of Technic 1210s Record Decks from new,for 26 years.I had high expectations for these headphones I was not disappointed . A high quality set of NC bluetooth headphones, great design, superb performance, minimal design . Thinking of getting NC headphones, need HI FI clarity and performance, and require 'built to last' quality Look no further ! Product sent to me by Technics to review as part of a Reviewer Programme
