Questions & Answers

Hi do the Citation Towers support Dolby sound on their own?, and if not does that change if you add a citation bar or adapt product?.  I have been told that the towers do not support dolby and can't locate any information regarding dolby about them.

Our HK Citation Tower supports Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS 5.1, and LPCM 5.1. Although, this is only possible to achieve if you'll be purchasing and setting up this speaker with our Citation Surround and Citation Bar.

Does the Citation Adapt only work with Harman Kardon speakers? Can I connect it to a conventional 2-channel stereo system? Also, what audio formats and resolutions does the Citation Adapt support?

Hi there, the Harman Kardon Citation series uses it's own WiSA environment and only get connected with the Citation series only. These support Dolby and DTS, but not Atmos.

What kind of sound format does it support? DD and DDP should be ok, but what about DOLBY ATMOS?

Hi there, the Harman Kardon Citation Adapt does support Dolby and DTS, but not Atmos.

I want to set up a 5.1 system with the citation towers, soundbar, sub, and the wireless surrounds with a regular non wisa tv. Do I need a device like the Axiim q uhd media center or the citation adapt or both to connect to my tv?

It's not necessary to have an Axiim UHD media with the Citation. You can setup the citation devices as long as you have either the Citation Soundbar, or the Citation adapt. In your scenario, You'll only need the Citation Soundbar(main/center), Towers(Front L/R), Surrounds(surround L/R) and sub and you're all set.

Can you only use Citation Adapt with Tower or can 100 or 300 be used instead for front speakers? and really sorry that it only runs 2,1 since many tvs cannot have a whole soundbar below it for 5.1. ex LG wallpaper and samsung Q series w. fiber cable.

The Citation adapt only works with the Tower and sub as the Citation x00 can only be used as music player and can't be used as surround system. For full 5.1 set up you can use the Citation Bar(center), Citation Tower(front), Citation Surround(rear), and Citation Sub(Subwoofer)

Will this work for a 5.1 setup without the sound bar? Since it is Wisa it should be able to also support other wisa speakers in addition to the amazing looking Citation towers. Was thinking of mixing to make a 5.1 wireless wisa setup. Thanks.

The HK Citation Adapt can only do a 2.1 Surround system set-up by adding a Citation Tower & Citation Sub to it. For a 5.1 surround set-up, a Citation Bar is a must.

Yes, the Citation Adapt can be grouped with the rest of the Citation Series using the Google Home App.
