Rated 3 out of 5 by from I'm indifferent I just find it frustrating that there is no place to plug in a cord to direct-wire the speaker into the wifi (when the speaker kept disappearing from the app and the app was not able to locate the speaker to set it up - again - the app directed me to plug the Sonos Move into the wifi, which isn't possible. I was also frustrated that no where on the Sonos website was I able to find (to be fair, I could have missed it) a statement regarding the fact that the Sonos Move cannot connect to a TV, rather, it MUST go through a Beam, or the other usuals. I wish Sonos would clearly state - REQUIRES Beam or ... in order to connect to TV.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very good, not great I've always wanted a portable Sonos speaker to add to my Sonos collection. I was happy when the Move was announced. I purchased it during the whole covid lock down so I was not able to hear the device prior to purchasing. Unboxing and set up was a breeze. The sound quality is what I expected of Sonos. The sound deep, warm, smooth and crisp. Switching to Bluetooth was simple and the battery life was superb, although I haven't seen the 10 hour limit advertised. But it comes really close. My only problem is, it doesn't get quite loud for outdoor settings. I have tried recalibrating but that didn't help. All in all, it's still a great buy and a pleasure to use.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love the sound, wish it was portable between networks I love the way the Move sounds, the charging station, its portability and durability. It's easy to bring music to the deck or to one of the few rooms that I already do not have a Sonos speaker. I have Sonos at both my my primary residence and my vacation home. I was hoping that I could easily use the Move between the two houses but it is not. I need to reset it and add it to the other system every time we move between houses. It such a pain that I find I let it sit for a few days before going through the process to make it work. It would be nice to see a portable speaker recognize at least a few different networks and not require the set up process every time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Definitely a great asset [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At first glance the speaker doesn't look like a regular product of Sonos. However the design is slick, flawless and feels solid (looks like it can take a hit). The installation is exactly what you may expect with Sonos, since it's remarkebly easy to set it up via WiFi. The Bluetooth option works also very well, which may be handy for a garden where you may not connect with your WiFi. The sound is relatively good for a mono speaker and it would definitely be nice to have a stereo pair option. If you need a good quality speaker with Sonos usability and which is easily portable, don't look any further.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Sound, Bad Wireless Performance Portability, sound quality, and bluetooth option are what led me to buy it. It meets those criteria with flying colors. That said, as others have noted its wireless performance is terrible. It keeps dropping my network connection, even when mere feet away from my router--at least that's what the Sonos app tells me. Whether it's the Move or the app that's losing connection I don't know exactly, but in any case this problem is unacceptable in a wireless speaker at this price. I mostly end up using bluetooth and streaming from my phone, which defeats the main reason for buying a wireless speaker. My rating splits the difference, and I'll keep the Move for its use apart from my network, but I certainly won't buy another one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why didn't this exist years ago Absolutely love this speaker, purchased it to replace a sonos one and it works like a charm when sat on its base. Pick it up and it seamlessly moves to any room. It's absolutely perfect for bringing music to the shower : garden. We took ours to its first party a few weeks ago and it sounded amazing, impressed the family and managed to survive English weather and a freak shower. My only real issue with it, is very occasionally it drops off the Sonos app, alexa will play music on it, but router and speakers need a classic 'turn it off and on again' to work properly. Battery is fantastic... i mean what's not to love? Oh and did I mention it sounds fantastic?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great sound but setup can be challenging. The Move has really great sound and the battery life is good. We frequently take this outside and enjoy for many hours of listening. Really a ton of sound in a small, portable package. However, setup is not intuitive and very picky. It took me hours to get this working on my network and I am an engineer that works with networks, workstations and scientific equipment! It was one lucky search that led me to an obscure setting on my specific router in order for the Move to connect. Setup, the app and the Alexa interface could use much improvement. I will likely buy again however I would not gift this as the setup can be frustrating.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cannot Recommend We have had an entire Sonos system for about 8 years now. Added the move to replace the retired 5 we had in the kitchen. We were aware we needed to update to S2 with this device. What a piece of garbage. Since then, our system has never been stable. Half the time this, and many of our other speakers, cannot be found on the system. We've tried customer support. We've tried the sequence to find or even add the speakers again. We're fed up. We bought this to have music outside this summer. Instead, we Usually have no music at all. Do not buy this, or any of the other speakers since they've ruined what used to be an incredible system.
