Rated 3 out of 5 by from Would give 5 stars if features were available Have to get Audible integration working, or commit to a timeline of when to expect it. "Soon" isn't an acceptable answer. It's preventing me from purhasing and adding to my setup of speakers. There should be an Aux port on all models. This shouldn't feel like a premium feature that requires shelling out hundreds of dollars more, when the only feature you're interested in is an aux port. This should be available on the Play:1 and Play:3 models standard. Without the Aux ports and a committment to Audible support, it would be hard for me to recommend the Play:1 or Play:3 to anybody. The Play:5 is priced out of reach for the casual listener.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Reason to avoid Sonos Sonos removed the "play from device" function in the Sonos app. That, and given that we have the Play:1, means we can no longer directly play music that is locally stored on our devices via our Sonos speakers (without some overly complicated, indirect route). While Sonos will never acknowledge it, we have no doubt this was a move to push its customers into purchasing new hardware, which supports AirPlay, using the ruse that the evolution of iOS renders the engineering of this function impossible. Not only has Apple disputed that claim, we aren't playing a game of, effectively, planned obsolescence to push customers into buying more of your hardware. Given that the ability to play locally stored music was the entire reason behind our purchase, we're off to another platform.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Close to being real nice. I have several of the Amazon Echo throughout the house, I was hoping this would be a significantly better device. The day I receive the device I was eager to use it and connect it to my phone via Bluetooth, only to find that it does not allow for Bluetooth connection. Crazy. Also, it is next to impossible to get this thing to recognize my voice while playing a song, which is extremely frustrating. My Alexa devices are significantly better at hearing what I'm saying. It's true that the sound quality on this is better than the Amazon Alexa. With some tweaking this could be an awesome device. Unfortunately those couple problems don't make up for the superior sound. Fairly disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I'm a sonos user for six years. It doesn't work Multiple sonos units simply don't work. I've been using it frustratingly for 6 years. I update my software regularly but rooms constantly drop out. It can't play bbc radio (support have been telling me for years they will fix it but it's the BBC's problem). Every time I go to relax and listen to something around the house something is wrong...rooms have disappeared. Being a bloke I then spend all evening trying (and again failing) to fix it. Then an hour during office hours on the phone to support. Fully tedious. It's a great idea but unlike a vintage car that lives on an AA van i can't sell it now. Buy a decent stereo and Bluetooth your phone into it!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not quite there yet... I have an ever growing Sonos system which I regularly use to move music around the house. I was very excited to add the Alexa voice control ability. But with the critical short fall (no voice activated grouping capability) I have to search for my phone to operate the system anyway. Alexa is nearly worthless to me without grouping. She is my first dissappointment from Sonos. Grouping has always been a prime selling point for Sonos. I'm disgusted that this wasn't included at roll out and concerned for the future of my system if this is lack of professionalism to be the new Sonos approach. Please repair it quickly to restore your good reputation.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from If you already have Alexa, go with the Play1 First, this thing puts off great sound. It's amazing how it can fill a room, large or small. I'm very happy with the sound quality. That said, I already have a few Echo dots, this was kind of a bonus for another room. Alexa on the One is spotty to say the least. There are commands that you can do on the Dot that the One can't handle. I also find myself screaming at the thing if music is playing because the mic picks up so poorly. I have bought a few Play 1's since this purchase, and I wish I never bought the One to begin with. It's just not quite there yet and I'm not happy with it. Save yourself the hassle (and money!) and go with the Play 1!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Steer clear The Sonos One is the most unreliable product I've bought in a long, long time. It's a sterling addition to the 'have you tried turning it off and on again' canon. I thought those days were gone, but not with Sonos. The speakers are liable to stop working at any time, obliging you to do the rounds of turning the internet modem off and on again (this may or may not work) and plugging the speaker out and in again (may or may not work). This tedious, frustrating process happens several times a week. No other device using my internet does this. Customer services didn't offer me any satisfactory response. If you want a speaker that simply works - uncomplainingly, reliably - don't buy Sonos. Wish I'd saved my money!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Thought it would be better... Still can't get the SONOS 1 to work with Alexa. It shows up in the Alexa App and every time I try to use Alexa she says I don't have those skills assigned, but I do because it works with all my other devices. It says to add it in the Alexa app, but it is already there. This is really frustrating. It can tell me the time and weather and that is about it. My news briefings don't work, my music apps like Spotify, Pandora, Sirius XM all don't work it is pretty useless to listen to music unless I use the Sonos App and try that, but it constantly skips music and doesn't work that well. Really disappoined in this SONOS product. The help online and in the app are useless.
