After seeing a few bad reviews about fitting the filter seems like a few having trouble, so here goes.. on installation of new filter you remove the clips red blue In many cases when you remove the clip then before you start tugging on the pipe push the grey collar down this releases the pipe so it pulls out with ease. To put the pipe back on the new filter simply push firmly back into the filter until it stops and replace the clip.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Removal is easy when you know how! Water filter does what it says on the tin. Like others I really struggled to remove the old unit, until I discovered what when you've removed the (red in my case) retaining clip, you need to push the grey collet INTO the filter as you remove the pipe, to release it. Just pulling on the pipe will only make the collet grip harder and will potentially stretch the pipe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good but instructions poor on removal of old unit. It works well but the instructions on how to remove the old filter are very poor! As others say, you have to remove the little coloured retaining clip and then push in the grey bit whilst pulling the tube. Then the tube comes away easy. Fitting is easy. Just remove the retaining clip, push the pipe in and then replace the clip. Check for leaks and the job’s a good’un. In 2020 we shouldn’t have to google problems to get answers which are simple if the instructions were better.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from As others have stated, direction still not marked On youtube I was able to determine that the flow goes from the bottom of the unit to the top (with the samsung logo towards the top). However it is ridiculous that after several years on the market, this is STILL being sold without any flow direction marking, either on the label or the unit itself.
