Great-Only When It Works
I loved this the first time I used it! I was using it on my sail boat to capture pictures and take videos throughout the day and it stayed stuck the whole time! The second time I used it, in the same way, it did not stay so stuck. Again I took it out sailing and after about an hour, it must have released and tumbled off the boat and into the water before we could even realize what happened. I only wonder if it took a cool video as it fell to the bottom of the ocean. But I guess we'll never know. When this mount worked it was great, and I was extremely upset when it didn't. It didn't quite SUCK enough I guess.

A good quality item but disappointed
As expected, another absolutely fantastic item from GoPro. BUT. It didn't appear to come with all the necessary bits and pieces, which I was very taken aback by, as GoPro are normally spot on.
The mount for the quick release catch wasn't included? :(
The suction cup also comes with a little adapter which changes the way your GoPro faces. Again, absolutely amazing, but I needed an extra screw to mount the GoPro on this, which wasn't included.
Luckily I can dig into my heap of other accessories to find these two things, but if this was someone's first accessory, they wouldn't have all the equipment needed.

Surprisingly strong suction
I've had bad experiences with other suction cup mounts in the past with dash cams, radar detectors, etc. I'm shocked at how well this one holds. Stuck to my windshield (inside and out) over washboard roads, drastic elevation changes (800ft to 10,000ft in one drive), temperature changes, etc. and it's never come off when I had it on a clean smooth surface. I trust it but I still tie it off with a short tether to be safe when exterior mounting to a vehicle. I'm buying another for convenience, so I can keep the interior one in place and quick swap to exterior mounting.

Very disappointed
I bought this as it seemed like a very versatile attachment system to create some interesting shots.
I tried applying it to my motorbike, it fell off within a mile of riding (I did apply it to a flat surface). However, my verdict was set when I recently tried to record a timelapse of a night sky by attaching the suction cup to a window. It fell off within a half hour of use.
Overall this has left me feeling very unconfident in using this attachment, particularly in more "high risk" situations; fearing the loss of my camera if applied to another vehicle.

Don't work when a bit of strength is applied on it
Used it twice on the outside of a car, it worked perfectly ! But then for my third use I mounted it on a longboard surf (flat and dry surface) : after the first wave passed, the surfboard was still there but the gopro and the section cup not anymore....
Lost my Gopro Hero 7 Black by using this ! I don't recommand this product that risks to make you loose your Gopro !! If you want to mount your GoPro on a flat surface, use an adhesive mount, even if it is for a single use... Still more profitable than having to buy a new GoPro ! :(

Horrible
I used this product on my go pro hero 8 attached to my zx10r . As I was riding through heavy traffic it flew off my bike . Due to the amount of traffic I couldn’t stop and get it. I looked for it but could not find it. It malfunctioned and go pro didn’t want to replace my camera battery memory protective casing and suction cup. All they offered me was 20% off a new one according to them it was considered lost not. Malfunction . Obviously I couldn’t retrieve it at the moment it malfunctioned and flew off . Don’t buy this attached.

Went to Canada on a Rocky Mountaineer Train going thru the Canadian Rockies. Mounted this on the outside of the train to capture the beautiful views of the rivers and bald eagles Worked great! However when mounting make sure to double check to make sure it is secure. The one time I did not check and just walked away was the one time I mounted it incorrectly and it fell off losing my go pro along the River back in a remote area. This was my fault. Worked Amazing and will purchase again when I purchase a new go pro.

Unreliable.
Picked up this mount. Used it once when canoeing. It fell off the boat. The suction cup also has the added feature of taking the GoPro floaty and camera with it. Things happen. I get it. Contacted GoPro about my GoPro PLUS warranty. Was told I shouldn't have used it on the boat, even if the product description said it was okay to use on a boat. So, there's that. If you use this mount, make sure you have another mount, because when this one fails you might lose your camera and memory card.
