Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good beginners camera with 4k capabilities I bought this camera for my pre-teen and he was able to use it to make a number of good 4k films. It is was relatively easy to use and it had good stabilisation. We also did not need to purchase lenses as you would for a DSLR. The downside is that it has a very small sensor so it is not good for low light situations and is more of a beginners' camera.

So having the sealed camera makes the big difference. It worked perfectly in taking shots of mine slopes and workplaces as part of site monitoring. Highly recommend this to mining professionals.

But I will work that out in time. The 4K burst is fun to use. One thing wrong is you need to take the battery out to charge it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Camera I purchased his camera after quite a bit of research into bridge cameras around this price point, and it certainly didn't disappoint! Sharp, clear and steady, the FZ300 can be easy to use if you like it that way or there is the ability to switch to full manual control. Photos are crisp, with great colour straight from the camera, and the ability to shoot in a large choice of creative modes - Ones which will actually enhance and do justice to your shots, not just take them over. Highly recommend for people looking for a camera that's easy to use and that has DSLR-like quality and abilities, but without the hefty price tag that comes with purchasing the extra lenses that are needed for a DSLR. Sadly, my tripod was dodgy and about two months into owning my FZ300, it tipped and knocked the camera hard enough to damage the viewfinder, - which, I might add, is fantastic - and screen, so I now get no picture. I was so impressed with this camera though, that I will without a doubt be purchasing it, once again from Harvey Norman, as a direct replacement. Highly recommend!
