Evolution of already good
I pre-ordered the A7RV after seeing the announcement. I enjoyed the A7RIV, and the improvements sounded good. I was relieved to see Sony did not go with a simple flip-out screen like the A7IV - I use the tilt for waist-level shooting, and a flip-out interferes with that. Having owned the camera for a month now, I can attest that the new auto-focus system really works - images feel sharper, because the focus is even more accurate.
Insect AF works surprisingly well, and the combined animal/bird AF is convenient. I expect to enjoy it even more as I learn how best to use it.

A7 rV
I upgraded from the a7rii, and I can feel all the upgrades in this camera. I wanted to believe that pixel shift would work better than it does, and I fear the main limitation is wind in leaves etc. Great to have bracketed focus now, and but I was surprised that Photoshop had trouble with that,... then I discovered Helicon Focus software which was amazing in comparison to photoshop version. I think the bottom line is that I want this camera to have more pixels, so please make an a7rvi with 100++ meg pixels for hires photos, but also a faster sensor for less rolling shutter,,, or global shutter. Unless that is the next a1ii. I will upgrade my camera quickly even though I just bought it... give me faster and more pixels!

Amazing Camera
I have upgraded from the a7iii to the a7R5. Massive upgrade. The auto focus is amazing and the ability to crop into the shots from 61mp is crazy. I still have lots to learn about this camera, but no regrets at all. Looking forward to trying out the focus stacking and finally no need for a cable to shoot in bulb mode. Love the screen and how it comes out and rotates. Crouching down for me is hard with a knee replacement and now I can see my shots a lot easier with the screen using portrait mode at ground level.

Sony A7R V
I bought the Sony A7R V with the Sony 24-70 GM 2 lens.
I have been out testing the camera and found the pictures to be absolutely amazing; well- balanced, tack-sharp.
Every shot has so much clarity and detail.
My last DSLR was a Canon 5D Mk2. The Sony A7R V is lightyears away.
I have so much to learn and practice over the next few years with this camera.
The fact it takes brilliant pictures out of the box makes it easy to play with all the settings, go through the manual and practice more advanced photography.
Combined with Lightroom with Photoshop; you can have so much fun with things like panoramic shots and stitch then together, making images with breathtaking clarity.
I have yet to play with the auto- tracking but will do so, as I have two small puppies I want to get some fun shots with and am looking forward to see what the A7R V can do.
This is a great time to get into this hobby, with cameras and lenses from Sony, as you really get what you pay for.

Great camera
I have been using this camera for around 5 days, and it keeps impressing me a lot.
It comes with a 61.0 MP sensors, which provides excellent image quality. I have used the machine to record my birthday and some daily event. All my friends liked the photos.
The camera body also provide good hand holding experience and multiple functions. There are so many buttons for customising, comparing with my previous APSC camera lol.

My Sony History
I have been a great fan of Sony digital cameras for, I guessing close to 25 years.
I have probably owned from memory, 14 over that period. I have 3 that I still use, the DSLR A99ii, also the A77Riv and now the A77rv. The ongoing technology advancement in each of them has been amazing. I have never had any issues with any of them. They all travelled a great deal, on overseas trips also around Australia. I have used a couple of other other brands in my work place. None of those came anywhere near my Sony's at that time in history, in terms of operation and importantly great photography. I still use a lot of my older a mount lenses, on the mirrorless cameras, with two of the LA-EA5 adaptors. As I have an extensive range of A mount lenses, that I purchased over the years. I have been impressed with results when using them. I guess you could call me a devout Sony camera fan.

The best camera bar none
I upgraded from A7iii and this is my first professional grade camera and I am speechless! The ergonomics, screen tilting, view finder, just amazing. The 61MP resolution is just ridiculous. You keep on zooming in and the quality and resolution never degrades. Have taken a few architecture photos but haven't used Pixel Shift yet. I cannot rave about this camera enough!

Great features
I bought this camera three month ago and love the image quality and rich set of features. In particular the amazing focussing system, which to me is the crucial part of any camera. Unfortunately the camera software froze often and it took some while to localise the fault. Eventually Sony replaced the camera body. It appears to work great since. Unfortunately quality control is largely left to the end user, theese days, regardless of brand, and sony is no exception. Having said that, I am very happy with the choice of camera and would by it again in a heartbeat. Some reviewers complain about the complexity of the menu system, I cannot agree with them. Any system is hard before you learn it, and easy afterwards. Once understood, the menu can be quickly transversed. The many customisation options allow the perfect setup for almost any experienced photographer. Admittedly they could initially overwhelm the beginner.
