Great value
I bought this a few weeks ago for our car club and it is a dream to use. Besides having an abundance of ink that I don't have to keep track of each print, and printing each time as asked what I love the most is the scanner. My old one was very complicated and didn't always want to print or scan. Very temperamental. This beauty spits out beautiful scans and zap they are on the computer ready to file or put in an email. I did have one little glitch with a picture. For some reason the whole center strip was white with only picture on the top and bottom edges. Don't know what happened there and I haven't tried to print any other photos.

Very disappointed for the price
I've just replaced my 10 year old Workforce printer and am literally crying with disappointment. I can't believe a $499 printer doesn't have automatic double sided printing!! Black prints as grey. The screen is so small and very difficult to read where it sits on front of machine. When scanning, there isn't the option to save files to where you need them to go, it just defaults to a scans folder. As much as I love the ecotank concept, I very much regret not getting another Workforce. Positives - it is light and fairly quiet.

Very dissapointed with this printer
Communication is slow
Printing is slow and noisy
It doesn't doubleside print
Set up was diabolically hard requiring multiple calls to the Malaysian call centre. Turns out, my Norton was not allowing the drivers to down load. How is this possible? Epson is one of the biggest printer makers and Norton is the biggest Protection brand. Why have you not worked this out yet. Very disappointed.
i should have done more research but was in a hurry and foolishly trust a big mob like Epson.

This product is a great all in one printer
After spending some time researching and with a recommendation from a friend to purchase an eco tank for value for money printing, I decided to increase my budget to stretch to this printer, and I'm glad I did. As long as it stands the test of time, so far so good with set up on the computers being relatively simple, and good speed. The thing I'm most excited about is that the ink is supposed to last for ages and the top up ink bottles are not too pricey. The printing is fast and it has a document feeder for scanning and copying which are the main things I was after. Bonus - it fits on the very narrow top shelf of my desk - I was thinking it would be bulky and I'd have to put it in the lounge room.

pleasant surprise
I had done some research and read reviews online from MANY sources. Some mentioned that the only drawback they noticed was that some of the settings could be a hassle or a bit convoluted. I started setup with a bit of caution, expecting to run into anything that might confuse me. Much to my relief and surprise, setup and use of this printer is an absolute breeze. Most especially if you use the Epson interface on a smart device. (phone, tablet, etc.) Printing with this machine is so effortless and pleasant, I'm just sorry I didn't get one sooner. I'm in love!

Limited features
I purchased to replace an Epson WF-4830 whose black ink head has completely fried in 12 months average use. Cheaper ink (no cartridges) is a great idea, however this model which is middle of the price range, and considerably more than standard ink jet price, does not double side print, is slow to both print and scan (compared to the above printer) and has no paper tray (back feed only). It will get me by in my home office (just).

Ink usage
The best feature of this machine is the minimum amount of ink usage. However, I don't believe the quality of printing is as good as my inkjet printer. Also, I am unable to do automatic printing back to back without having to manually turn the page over and feed it back through. Shouldn't have to do this basic task with a machine that cost $469.00. Not overly thrilled with this machine but I've bought it now so am stuck with it. I do like the photocopying feature where I am able to feed originals through the top feeder for photocopying.

Poor scanning and clunky system
We upgraded from Workforce Pro older model - and I miss it! No 2 sided scanning with this model and the single scanning is very clunky and slow, often mis-feeding pages from the ADF and timing out or just not saving scan. Scan quality is also poor despite making adjustments for DPI. Often skewed. Issues with the Eco tank as all colours stopped working - had to do a full tank reset. Very dissatisfied with the quality and performance. Our basic XP 3105 performed better for printing and scanning. Having to look at an upgrade now.
