Accessories unavailable
Tried to buy pan with solid base to use for cakes and other dishes but discovered they aren't available. Rang Philips but they weren't able to give any information about when and if they would become available. Considering the price I paid for the HD9880/90, I am disappointed. As far as cooking in this air fryer, I am very happy, but it is limited to recipes that don't require the solid based pan.

The Airfryer with the Lot
Amazing. First cook was 2kg whole stuffed Chicken. Results - crispiest skin with succulent meat cooked to the bone. Highly recommend.

Seems to work well
Will start with the 'connected' part. You need to download the app (via a QR code) and then create a login. You can then connect the air fryer to your wifi - I saw one review where the fryer could not get connected to their network - this might not be the cause of their issue but I would note that you may have issues if you have both 2.4 and 5ghz networks using the same SSID. If you do, then temporarily disable the 5ghz network on your AP to initially do the setup. This is not Philips fault as such - most IOT devices use 2.4ghz as it uses less power and has better coverage *but* it can have issues in a shared network. Personally I have a dedicated 2.4ghz SSID used just for these sorts of devices. Anyhow, once connected, the app will likely say that the fryer has a firmware update - let it do that. Allow 30 mins from start to finish. Finally, you can use the thing. (Of course if you don't care about the connected part, you can use it straight away without the app). The app is sort of useful, but the jury is still out here as to exactly how useful it might be - in general it's probably just as easy to use the physical controls. The nice part though is getting alerted when the air fryer finishes - so if you are in a big house out of earshot of the chime that might be good.
But, main question is - does it work? Yes, it does. It gets hot pretty quickly and is also fairly quiet, I like that the drawer slides out and the basket just comes out (our old one this was one unit and a few times the base dropped off which is not great when it's hot!). Cleaning will be easy. It is pretty large - it holds a lot, but also takes up a fair bit of space on the counter. There is hole to poke excess power cable. Only weird thing we've found is if the drawer closes without the basket in, and can be tricky to open the drawer again. If you are in that position, wait until it is cool then put your hands either side of the drawer and pull.
It is still early days, but so far overall am pretty happy with it.

Great machine cooks everything perfectly
This machine is is excellent from cooking chicken to salmon to party pies it does it all, but don’t let your dog eat the probe as mine did for you won’t be able to buy a new one.

Bough the 7000 series after seeing a demonstration. I was unaware they are all called the 7000 series. No probe or the same automatic functions. Not any better than my xxl. I think Phillips should distinguish the difference in the product

We bought one and contacted Phillips for accessories that you can buy for the smaller models but were told that they haven’t made the accessories yet for this model and that there had been a number of complaints about this - why would you release the product without accessories required to use it effectively ????
