[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] How exciting to receive a Russell Hobbs Addison Kettle Matte Black to test. I love the blue LED lights it uses to show your selections, Yes, I said selections, you can choose the temperature, so that means if I'm making a cup of tea or coffee or herbal tea I can choose from the temperature range - that's fantastic. There is just 1 star less on my rating because I find the cord for the kettle base is a little bit too short for me, I know the jug is cordless but it would be more convenient with a longer cord. In saying that, it has an amazingly fast boiling time and looks very sleek in my kitchen.

Far too noisy
I purchased this kettle about 12 months ago. It is so noisy that it actually wakes people up when turned on in the morning. Everyone who stays says the kettle woke them up, which isn’t great when I get up at 5am every morning and just want a cuppa. It gurgles and pops and is by far the loudest kettle I’ve ever had. I think the beeping every time you turn it on, lift it, set it back down is annoying. I wish I could turn that feature off! I like the keep warm function but rarely use it because the constant noise of it boiling is brain numbing!!!
I’m looking forward to the day it breaks and I can buy a different kettle. No, I’m not joking.

Fast and hot boil
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried all settings and found the 95 degree setting the best and easily the most drinkable. The kettle isn’t loud and gives a beep to let you know when it has completely boiled. It also beeps when you remove from the base and replace to the base. With the sleek look and fast boil, it’s one of the better kettles I’ve had. I really enjoy the boiling options, the choice is easy and control over the temperature is even better. I even used the kettle for my cooking this week knowing it wasn’t going to get too hot at the 70 degree mark for what I needed. Just brilliant!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before filling I noticed how light the kettle was. So easy to select the right temperature for your beverage and it is much quieter than other kettles I have used. No need to go back and check if you've switched it on, it beeps when you do and the button remains lit so you know it's doing it's job. It also gives a short beep when it's boiled so you don't have to touch the kettle to check! I also used the keep warm function and after 40 minutes the water was still hot enough to make another cup! It also looks very sleek and modern, suiting most home decor.

Water changes taste
Bought it a few months ago, straight away I noticed some plastic taste in water, hoping with time it would disappear. Months later the taste is not as strong but still there, also was hoping it would be less noisy. Otherwise works well and does its job.

Sleek, stylish and elegant no need for pretense
We have been boiling (and warming, and bringing to a set temperature) our water in our busy domestic household kitchen for almost a week and we have difficulty with understanding how we could have possibly managed to get along with any semblance of functionality prior to the introduction of our new Addison digital kettle. This innovative kettle has functions and features that we never knew we could use with such ease and creating such an impact on the various water boilers in our home. So we have gained a lot of knowledge about the process of making a perfect cuppa depending on your cuppa preferences. If you are are a herbal tea drinker you will benefit from a different water temperature than your contemporary black tea drinker and so on.... You will find yourself with a plethora of knowledge you never knew existed before and you will find that you are genuinely impressed with the quality of of your water boiling (or almost boiling) that is the key to presenting the best cup of whatever you fancy to friends and family as you can expect to be treated as a gift to all who changed tea and coffee into every time, every way, every style masterpiece. It is with a great deal of pride that we're the house in the street who knows just how it is you treat your water for your drink.
Oh and the finish is sleek, sublime, sexy but still very understated with a black matte whisper that speaks over sparkles and shines all of the time!

LOVE this Kettle!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a sexy appliance! It looks amazing (especially when matched with the Russell Hobbs Matt black toaster) and has awesome functionality!
I really love the options of different temperatures for different teas and coffee as well as keep warm function.
It’s super quiet and reaches the chosen temperature quickly. Also love that it has a reusable water filter that can be cleaned in the sink.
The handle is big enough for the largest of hands and has a nice ergonomic feel even when full.
