Great, compact kettle
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the sleek, dark look of the kettle and was excited to try it out.
Looks wise it’s fantastic - fits into my kitchen without being a standout item. It’s very easy to clean, just wipe down with a wet cloth and you’re done.
It boiled quickly and wasn’t too loud compared to some older kettles I’ve had.
The only drawback was the spout - it is designed for a better flow, which it does keep the flow in a smaller area. But it also pours out further than other kettles I’ve had so I made a bit of a mess the first few times I used it. Other than that - would definitely recommend it.

Good looking kettle but average function
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The kettle feels a little basic to me. I kept using my thumb to look for a button to release the lid to open it to fill. Having a small child at home (whom I may be carrying in one arm whilst filling a cold kettle) I find this very inconvenient. The shape of the spout makes pouring slow: when tilted to increase the speeding the pour, water spills all over the bench. Maybe it takes a while to get use to a new appliance but overall I would only want to be using this kettle occasionally, and definitely not daily

Fine Basic Kettle
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This kettle boils water fine and relatively quickly. But one of the first things that struck me, is the kettle feels cheap. Yes it has a metal body, but I feel the quality of the plastic handle, lid and 'on' tab was poor and would break or become brittle before any of the other components had issues.
I didn't like that you had to pull the lid open to fill, rather than having a button that pops the lid open for you. It felt like there was more chance of getting burnt if you had to refill again straight after boiling.
The spout poured well and accurately and limited the speed of the water, so that it couldn't pour out too rapidly.
It looks nice, the style and colour would suit many homes.
Overall, it worked and did the job, but quality reminded me more of Kmart than what I have come to expect from Russell Hobbs. It seemed expensive at almost $60 for what it was.

Perfect little kettle!

It was an ok size for my family but I guess if you had a bigger family you might want a bigger kettle. The only improvement I could think of is a button to open the lid. Other than that I thought it was perfect.

Jug can take a little bit of time to boil, but other than that it’s a jug that does what it needs to do, colour is good. Just think they need to fix the box because I wouldn’t buy it looking like that.
