Water- Boiled, pretty kettle does it very well.So far has worked excellently. Heats water like a champ! I feel so fancy both watching the glowing blue water, and caressing the smooth matte parts. Boiling water is a far more energetic process than I realised, but now I know thanks to the Clear! Surface.

Great Kettle Looks Good Boils like a Champ!Disregard the reviews from the fools who think a boiled kettle shouldn't collect scalding steam in the top immediately after boiling AND who opens the lid immediately after boiling. People like that shouldn't own a kettle. I'm pouring it, that's what I boiled it for.

Works well so farLid is plastic, handle is plastic. Top and bottom of the body is metal painted black. Nice kettle, working well so far after 2 weeks. I wish the LED light ring was recessed behind the black body, so it would cast a glow up into the water. I had an old kettle of the different brand like that. This one, the LED strip is entirely visible and I find it's just too bright and you can see all the individual dots along the strip. Just an aesthetic thing, the function is perfectly fine. Lid opens smoothly with the button on the handle, and it pours well.

Glass kettleThis kettle takes so long to auto shut down after once it starts boiling. With higher electricity costs this technology make you costs more. I have contacted sunbeam and they said it's functioning normal. Do not recommend this product

Overall okLooks nice, but boils for far too long before it clicks off. It's also always filled with condensation which spoils it's good looks! My last glass kettle (Kmart) didn't have this problem.
