Dont go the way of Flatbed
Bought this Flatbed as a tryout really, unfortunately was a disappointment from start. This unit is a 1000w that performs like a 800w turntable. All microwaves used to be flatbed in the beginning, just used to have to turn what you were cooking three times. these units distribute the microwaves evenly and so no turning necessary. HOWEVER whatever they do to distribute the power also lowers it... our last microwave was same power and cooked at least 1/3... 33% faster, but it was a turntable. Only up for this unit is, it is easy to clean, everything else is a downer. Cheap to buy but it will cost you in the end from the extra electricity you burn because of the longer cooking times.

The unit I bought was broken when i took it out of the box. Obviously there is no such thing as quality control as even a monkey would have noticed the defect. Door wouldn't stay closed. Googling revealed the door catch is an endemic problem which Panasonic refuses to acknowledge. The surest way to get my blood boiling is to claim 'we've never encountered that problem before' when the review sites contain hundreds of identical complaints. What passes for Panasonic 'customer service' appears to be in Manila, staff are unintelligible, unhelpful and arrogant.Two can play that game, lets see how much business I can cost Panasonic by letting prospective customers know to avoid this shonky manufacturer. Once upon a time, the company made decent products, but quite obviously those days are long gone.

Really user friendly and convenient but lacks powe
I'm used to having a powerful microwave and this just doesn't meet the standard. It took me way to long to heat things and the cool down function was a constant. Thankfully the sales assistant let me return it and I bought the LG smart inverter 32L and it's amazing. Great sounds, just as easy to use and good power that matches my old one. The turn table is also thinner and sits lower than previous microwaves so I really like how it sits. If you're after a microwave with grunt, don't get this one.

Poor user friendly.
Bought this microwave, unfortunately we were disappointment from start,one of the worst microwaves i have every owned.no quick heating mode.Can't reset when going and then goes to cooling mode.We keep switching it off at wall to reset.

Flatbed Panasonic - Too long to heat up
I was not happy with the heating. It took 3 to 5 minutes to warm up a plate of cold food. it heats up from the bottom up so the plate gets extremely hot while the top of the food stays at room temperature or sometimes still cold. Not worth it. If its to do with the settings, then the settings are too complicated. I tried it 3 times just to make sure before returning it. My old microwave is a panasonic and it worked so well thats why i choose to go with a panasonic again but thought id try a flatbed this time. I will never get a flatbed again.
