Worth it
I’ve been using this to grind meat for hamburgers and pasta recipes and it’s done the job perfectly. Have also used the sausage attachment - that has taken a few tries to figure out how to do it - turns out that sausage making is a bit of an artform but I’m getting there - no complaints about the attachment though. I’m using it with a Pro Line bowl lift mixer so there’s plenty of power to the grinder. One thing I’ve noticed for making sausages is to make sure to trim away any skin and all bone / cartilage or it will clog up the grinder and you won’t get free flowing meat coming out (and your sausages won’t be so great either).

Everything I dreamed it would be
I bought this grinder only a week ago, so have not had a chance to really test it out. Having said that I have made minced dried fruit balls with it and it works like a dream. The grinder minces the dried fruit to pulp or paste which I then mix with chipped nuts (Kitchen Aid Mini Food Processor), chia seeds, and a few other ingredients. The grinder has a very large top dish (funnel) for the ingredients, and its really easy to put together, cleaning was also relatively easy as the kit includes a bottle brush. The only down side is that not all the part can go into the dishwasher.

I love it
I live this gadget. The kitchenaid was a gift, and came with the ice cream maker. I bought the metal meat grinder and sausage maker shortly after. I love them all! We have used the new appliances a lot and they are wonderful. With the grinder we have made burgers, Italian style pork and fennel sausages, and boerewors.

The best sausages you can make and quality
We just got this product we were going to go for the plastic one I’m glad I got the metal one it’s a professional made product and the box it comes in is great so easy to keep it all together and store we make 500grams of sausages come out fantastic we now make our own mince meat and sausages on a weekly basis we love it we are even going to make a few salamis next year when it’s time my opinion and I’m a hard person this product is amazing is food grade quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The mincer and sausage attachment was given to me as a gift from the same person who also bought me the KitchenAid stand mixer as a gift (how lucky am I?!).
Having owned a mincer previously, I'm familiar with its functionality. My previous mincer was plastic, but this one is metal which feels nice and solid. The pieces are beautifully machined and everything fits perfectly. .Having only received it recently, I've made 4 batches of mince, using pork and chicken and I've only needed to use the coarse attachment. It makes mince effortlessly although I am yet to try the sausage attachment but it's on my list to achieve perfect sausages.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought white plastic grinder more than 5 years ago when I had a first baby. I used so many times to mince meat for baby food with no issues. perfect for baby food. I also used frequently to mince the garlic and put it in the freezer, which is much better quality than buying minced garlic.
plastic one started to wear off especially the roller part inside so I upgraded to metal grinder. Which is much more powerful, quicker, easier to clean. The brush for cleaning is game changer too.
I still use it often for meat and garlic mincer.

Sausage help
love this grinder paua goes through like butter , remember when doing sausages to NOT tie a knot in the end of your sausage casings and to process mixture through till just coming out the end of the stuffing tube then tie your knot or else you'll end up with your casings fired across the room from air pressure. The only complaint I have is the main body can't go in the dishwasher .
