Worked like magic
Ok , so you shouldn’t have a white rug in a lounge room with a dog , but it looked nice , for a while …..
Decided to take the plunge and invest in the new hydro steam cleaner from Bissell and we’re so impressed . We used the pre cleaner on the spots , pre- steamed and now we have a rug that looks totally brand new .

I had a Bissell Proheat that I bought about 15 years ago so this was an update and I was happy to see that they have not only maintained the quality of the product but have improved upon it. Quite happy with the product.

Dogs, Boot & Yard stains gone.
3 dogs, 1 x puppy, 1 x old and incontinent and 1 x loves being outside in all weathers and coming in covered in mud, throw in a farm and 4 men in work boots who think just a few steps on the carpet won’t make any difference, add 4 years since it has last been cleaned fully, and you have something which is not pretty. Bought this last week Nov 23 and started to get to grips today with it.
I started with a rug and was pleased I did as I saturated it because I kept forgetting to release the trigger which switches it to sucking up the water and dirt, it took me about 1.5 hours to get most of the water out of it, got the hang of it after that, next rug was 30 mins max and by the time I got to the carpet, I was steaming, cleaning, extracting murky water and drying like a professional.
The results are brilliant. It is quite noisy on cleaning/extracting mode so make sure your earbuds or headphones are charged. The cord is long and would have been better higher up, but that’s about the worst I can find. It’s semi heavy, but I feel the weight only adds to the pressure for cleaning. Two passes cleaning and three passes extracting water dealt with the worst of our stains and 3 hours on I could easily put the furniture back in place as it feels quite dry to walk on.
2 house cleans and I reckon it has paid for itself compared to calling the professionals in. This is better for me as I don’t have to move everything out of the room in one go, I can do half, then the rest once it’s dry and only have to move furniture a few metres.
