Fire TV Stick 4K Max is compatible with earlier Wi-Fi routers. To use Wi-Fi 6, you’ll need a Wi-Fi 6-compatible router. Fire TV Stick 4K is compatible with HD TVs and 4K UHD TVs. 4K streaming requires 4K UHD TV and available 4K content.
On your desktop:
- Login to your Amazon account on your desktop.
- Click on “Manage Your Content and Devices” from the menu under your name on the top right corner.
- Under “Preferences”- choose the “Country/Region Settings” option to set New Zealand as your location.
- On your mobile:
- Login to your Amazon account on the app and click on the menu option at the bottom right.
- Under “Settings” pick the option of “Country & Language”

Amazon Fire Stick
Great when I got it going. The pause, fast-forward and rewind buttons on the remote do not work. You have to use the round scroll button on the top to use this function here in New Zealand.
I had trouble downloading TVNZ+ Could not download even though I had an account with them and easily downloaded TV3. I rang up Harvey Norman after many failed attempts. A very nice helpful person in the Whangarei electrical department advised me to try logging in with a different email address. Yeah, thank you that worked. I am now very very happy with my Fire Stick and hope if anyone else has had a few technical problems the above might be of help.
