Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poor Shaving Head I have used Philips Shavers for more than 40 years, not having a heavy growth, I dry shave each day and clean the Shaver and heads as recommended. I upgraded from the S9000 to the S9000 Prestige, which I received in September 2020, I was very pleased with the design and performance, HOWEVER in January 2021 the head/blades have stopped giving me a close shave, THE HEAD IS WORN OUT after less than 6 months use, this is particularly poor given that heads in the past have lasted me more than a year. Is this a bad batch of heads, a poor design or a deliberate design to sell more expensive heads? Philips Customer Service, please feel free to contact me if you are interested.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product for a close & comfortable shave This is an absolutely excellent shaver which retains its charge very well. Before buying it, I read with interest some of the reviews saying with the charge pad and carry case is big. This is true, but given how long it retains its charge, I don't think it is necessary to have anything smaller, because if you're going away for more than a week and a half, you'll be taking a bigger suitcase anyway. As far as the shave goes (I shave dry, though dorealise there are other options with this shaver), there is nothing better, and this was brought to replace a previous model Philips shaver. Yes it is relatively expensive, but in my opinion worth every penny.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Shaver I've Used This S9000 gives such a close shave, it look nice too. I like the battery feature which shows how much charge is left, my previous Philips shaver just ran out of charge without me knowing in advance. Battery life is very good. This is the second S9000 shaver I had bought in this last month, I bought this as a gift for my brother birthday next week - but I gave it to him the day after it arrived. I wanted him to replace his current old shaver. I know he will be amazed by its close shave and features. Something also to note is that Philips have a very good customer service, I had dealt with a Philips customer service representative called Greg.

After being a wet shaver all my 64 years decided after purchasing a travel shaver from Philips to try something different as my face was suffering from razor burns lately, Glad I did purchase it, I have now had it two months and I am amazed at the results it gives time after time, leaves ones face silky smooth after use also glides over the face with little if no effort on my part, Very easy to keep clean also with a quick rinse under the tap, I am certainly now a convert to this shaver, While I always knew Philips do best shavers out there. expensive but worth every penny as you only get what you pay for regards quality.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Far too fancy, lost the purpose that is , shave Used a Philips razor for 50 years and been very pleased. My last razor, SensoTouch 3D ,with origin blades was excellent, but then produced a head which did not meet the same results. Now I have this new razor so ordered 2 new heads thus avoiding the problem I had before. What a disappointment the shave is not as expected and does not compare to the 3D . The head has, in my opinion, been produced to swap with other razors and does not reflect the high cost to purchase. I would recommend to anyone thinking of a purchase to look at a cheaper model for I am sure the heads will be the same.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice I had the older sensor touch 3D and never used the self cleaning much.. this newer 9000 prestige is quicker and cuts longer hair pretty easy compared to the older model. This model has a quicker shave three speeds only this I didn't like was buying extra accessories like trimmer.... my last model had a trimmer built in.First shave seem harsh on skin but calmed down after a few shaves now after 5 shaves it's easy. LOTS of attachments very versatile seems well built too classy.Longevity... who knows.compared to Sensotouch this is lot better smoother ,faster looks weighty but feels fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best shaver by far So first thing first let’s get rid of the elephant in the room, yes the cost is high but to be honest your paying for it’s looks and the wireless charging pad, if you don’t want them then their are cheaper shavers that are just as good. If you sign up for their newsletter you can knock the price down. The design and feel of the shaver are great and it’s so easy to clean. As for the shave well what can I say it is without doubt the closest shave I’ve had in a long time and when I shave with a few days growth it’s do smooth and doesn’t pull the whiskers like my old one did. I would highly recommend this shave

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent shaving results I have been using Philips shavers for just under 50 years and have always found them excellent - this one is no exception. Probably the best yet. BUT - The case is enormous, I have used smaller backpacks. Why 'o' why can you only charge it via the wireless charger? Why is it not supplied with a head guard? I don't think I will be taking it on trips away. It's just too awkward, it needs a smaller travel case and then only if you can manage without recharging. Battery life is good, I estimate about 18-20 days per charge for me. Design is very pleasing and good to hold.
