This Series 9 cooktop is a joy to use, with the instant response and energy efficiency of induction technology.
- Immediate heat response and extremely accurate temperature control
- Cooktop remains cool to touch until a pot or pan is placed on the surface
- PowerBoost activates a very high heat, bringing liquid to boil in less than a minute
- Easily control each cook zone with Touch&Slide, including pairing cook zones to create a large SmartZone.
Complementary design
The subtle black glass and durable matte black detailing are designed to pair with the Minimal style Series 9 Ovens. With premium styling and detailing, these cooktops seamlessly blend with other appliances for a cohesive, considered kitchen design.
Enhanced features
PowerBoost and GentleHeat deliver either very high or very low heat, fast. Perfect for specialised cooking tasks such as searing meat and melting chocolate. An integrated timer ensures a great result every time.
Instant response
Go from a boil to a simmer in seconds. Touch&Slide controls react immediately when you adjust the temperature so you don’t waste time in the kitchen.
Safer choice
Induction cooktops only start heating your pot or pan once you’ve placed it on the ceramic surface and stop as soon as you remove it – so you don’t have to worry about curious little fingers or leaving a cook surface on.
Easy cleaning
The surface around your cookware stays cool when you cook – preventing baked-on spills and making cleaning up a breeze. The ceramic cooktop surface, including anodised detailing for durability, just needs a quick wipe after use to maintain its good looks.
Superior efficiency
Less heat is wasted during induction cooking because only the cookware is heated, not the cooktop surface. This makes induction cooking more energy-efficient than electric or gas cooktops.

Stylish with great functionality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This hob looks so sleek and stylish. It's been a great update to our kitchen looks wise, but the functional is even better. Zones instead of rings is definitely the way to go for versatile, even cooking. We've now bought a bigger griddle pan that straddles 2 zones and heats evenly. So now we can cook 2 large steaks and big field mushrooms at the same time, and we can griddle 2 large slices of bread together so we can eat bruschetta together and not one at a time. The only trouble we sometimes have is turning on the wrong zone, but it soon lets you know if there's no pan on the zone in action.

Fisher and Paykal 60 cm induction cooktop
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with my new induction cooktop. It takes less than a minute to bring liquids to boiling point and it’s easy to adjust settings with the sliding indicator. I love the sliding finger controls and not having buttons and it’s very easy to keep clean. Overall I’m very happy with the stovetop and would highly recommend. One concern people have is saucepans not being compatible but I only had two saucepans that were not magnetic so it didn’t impact greatly. Overall I would recommend the Fisher and Paykel induction cooktop and rate it 10/10 for ease of use, design and ease of cleaning.

First Induction Cooktop
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased as we wanted high heat but didnt want to use gas. The sensitivity of the zones is fantastic and has almost instant heat for each setting. Heating range is staged at convenient temperatures and is very consistent which helps knowing how long things take to cook each time. Super easy to clean and looks great. Only concern is depending on which type of pots you use it can create a low buzzing noise at lower temperatures. This doesnt happen with solid cast iron pots, mainly thinner stainless steel, but we love it and has converted us from gas, or any other form of cooktops, couldnt go back.

Problems after 3 years
Bought this 3 years ago. Had problems since we bought it. Fisher & Paykel repaired for free under warranty which was great! Yesterday got a big bang and a burning smell (which wasn't our dinner). So disappointed it's died after only 3 years :( I expect a cooktop to last at least 7 years. Has been a great cooktop before this. Safe, efficient etc. Loved the timer function that turns off the correct section at the perfect time (great for boiling the perfect egg!) Also the safety lock is great! Just disappointed that it hasn't lasted that long

Good design that works well
Good design that works well. We like the controls at the front so they are always accessible and don't get hot and that there are 2 bridging zones for our large casserole type pots.
The surface is easy to keep clean and looks uncluttered when not in use.
We did a lot of research before buying this one, as some of the cheaper brands are under-powered and might not have been able to fully utilise all the zones simultaneously. So far this F&P works as advertised, we're very pleased with it.
Only downside of course was that we have had to replace quite a few pots, including a much cherished pressure cooker and a wok that has to now be a flat bottomed one. However there are many brands of new pots to choose from that are all induction compatible.

Over Priced / Low Quality
Overpriced, basic functionality. Exceptional Design - but poor quality materials. Our previous Fisher & Paykel Hob was exactly the same. Functional but nothing exceptional except in design. Trying to organize fault fix outside of warranty proved to be both very expensive with a low chance of success. All repair providers wouldn't touch this brand, except for the authorized repair centre which had generally negative online reviews and was equally overpriced. On disposal it was discovered that the glass surface damaged far too easily. Workmanship below par compared to AEG/Hotpoint etc - no where near quality of Siemens or Neff. Wouldn't buy again even if half the price - which is actually quite easy to find if you hunt online. Manual was however very clear, with very good installation instructions.

Quick, easy and clean cooking
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had my cooktop for around 12 months now and just love it. The powerboost feature near on halves the cooking time for me and when making larger meals the smartzone feature gives a more even cooking. Cleaning the cooktop is as simple as wiping it over with a damp cloth...if a pot boils over, same thing, wipe cooktop and base of pot with a damp cloth and continue cooking.
Happy cooking these days for me.

Great new way to cook
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently refurbished our kitchen and needed new appliances. Our previous cook top was a Fisher & Paykel ceramic cook top which was now over 20 years old but still going strong so a decision to go with Fisher & Paykel was an easy one. To upgrade from a ceramic to induction cook top is a major cost, but we soon realised this was well worth the expense. Having never used an induction cooker previously we were soon at home with the ease of operation and simple instructions. We were amazed at how quickly and efficiently cooking had become, and even a pleasure. The appearance of the top is slick and attractive, easy to clean and with a great range of options for this particular model. We would thoroughly recommend to anyone contemplating a new cook top, look no further than a Fisher & Paykel induction product, you will not be disappointed.
