How does the near boiling tap compare to your average kettle in power consumption?

Hi Becks. The manufacturer doesn't supply actual energy consumption, but based on standard usage, the near boiling tap uses similar energy to a kettle. It is also more convenient in way hot water is available at an instant instead of waiting for a kettle to boil water. You should see little or no change in your power consumption. The unit plugs into a standard 240v electrical socket. Hope this helps with your query.

already have one but moving to rural property with only rain water tank, will it still have enough pressure without mains water.

Thanks for a great question Paula. if you have a HotTap, you would not require mains pressure. Mains pressure effects the mixer tap flow so if you have a MultiTap then you will need it. Hope this helps with your question.

What is the flow rate of hot water?
Litres per minute or ml’s per second?
Please give mains pressure for your calculations.

Thanks for your question Samy. We do not have specific flow rates from manufacturer but have been advised that as the water is filtered, the filter restricts the maximum flow rate to 2.8 ltr/min. We would expect that if it is on mains pressure that there is a pressure limiting valve also in line, to restrict the incoming water pressure to 350kPa. Hope this helps!

What is the water temperature. How hot does it get.

Hi Annette, thanks for your question. The factory set temperature is 96 degrees Celsius. This can be adjusted up or down, however it is not recommended to let the water boil. Hope this helps.
