Schweigen Technology
The IsoDrive motor is externally mounted, so there’s no fan next to sensitive ears in the kitchen. With no motor in the rangehood there’s much less weight in a Schweigen rangehood, so there’s no noisy, damaging vibration.
Schweigen is Efficient
Traditional rangehoods suck air from the cooking area, then push it against gravity and around corners eventually reaching the outside of the home. With Schweigen rangehoods the IsoDrive motor is externally mounted allowing air to be pulled through the system and vented directly into the atmosphere. Traditional systems use around 190 watts or more to operate while the Schweigen systems run on as little as 62 watts.

As expectedWe got the extra power because we have our rangehood 1.1m above our cooktop rather than the recommended 750mm.
It does a great job getting rid of smoke and steam even when frying steak.
It is very quiet so we often forget to turn it off.
The buttons and display are a bit cheap and clunky but they function fine.
The install of the chimney was a bit of a mission as we have a concrete tile roof, but worked out fine.
Overall we are happy after 2 months of use

OutstandingWe bought this for use in our open plan kitchen. It’s very quite and has amazing suction. I’d highly recommend this. The only thing not to love is the price, but money well spent!
