Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mums little helper! Bought this dryer last week, have never owned a dryer before and wanted to splurge on a heat pump dryer with great energy efficiency. I am in love with this machine. As a busy mum it has cut my laundry time in half. I dry everything! Even clothes that say do not tumble dry I use the delicate cycle and have no problems. The benefit of ZERO condensation is great! And it looks fantastic. I know these dryers take longer than normal dryers but they take such better care of your clothes. The automatic cycles sometimes don’t dry completely but I just finish them off with the quick 30 cycle and voila! Did have a problem with sheets balling but if you make sure you separate them before putting them in dryer and use the ‘duvet’ option seems much better. This machine was definitely worth the money and am saving up for matching washing machine as my last LG front loader is over 10 years old and still going strong :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much loved We bought our heat pump dryer a year ago now and I cannot fault it! It’s perfect. I’ve seen people comment on sheets getting tangled in it but to be perfectly honest sheets are best hung to be dried, and whenever we have needed sheets to be dried quicker, the dryer has done a great job!!!! I love the fact there’s no lint or condensation all over the laundry room. I love that it is super efficient and our energy bills have stayed the same despite the fact we use the dryer ALL the time now!!!!! I love that we can stop or start it from our couch (just for fun really). Anyway. It’s great!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The positioning of the filter is poorly executed [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would be very happy with our LG dryer IF it didn't ruin so many clothes with drawstrings. The dryer has a two-part filter which is located inside the dryer at the bottom near the door. The drawstrings on our shorts, shirts, pants and whatever else get caught and stuck on the filter and destroyed as the dryer keeps spinning. It has ruined a number of our clothes now which is unacceptable and the dryer will become costly mistake as it will continue to destroy our clothes in its lifetime. The performance of the machine has become irrelevant if it is ruining your clothes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First New Dryer This is my first new cloths dryer, I was given a 30 year dryer 10 years ago that chews the power. I love how this dryer has a senor and adjusts the time of the cloths that need to be dried. I have used 2 settings, the first was mixed fabrics and the cloths came out quite creased then I used the setting that reduces the creases (crease care I think) and I could hang up the cloths straight away. I love the set up of this dryer and it goes great with my 14KG LG front loader, in fact I can nearly place a whole load from my washing machine into the Dryer it is so large. I can not wait to use the blanket refresh mode on my dryer. LG you have another great item again

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good drier but not perfect [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In overall its very good but not perfect to get 5 stars. It takes a while to get the best out of it and really learn how to use it. First times we’ve used it the clothes shrink and that’s where you need to be careful. It definitely dries the clothes and no ironing is needed- which is the best part having a drier. Last, even if it has a great energy rating, still we’ve seen the electric bill going up. I wonder how bad it would be with a low rate drier. I don’t have a comparison so I can’t tell if it’s good or not but I expected it to be better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick effective drying without big electricity use [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Big investment for a dryer but now after 6mths of use I am sold. Most efficient in drying and electricity use, I am happy to recommend this to my family and friends. Sits on top of our 10yo LG frontload washer (still going strong). It is very heavy and cannot be wall mounted, needs two strong people to lift. Plenty of functions and presets, electronic dash with touch settings, manual wheel to select cycle. Can be linked to wifi/mobile app to monitor, startup and stop remotely, and upload updated cycles. Had initial issue with app but found it to be a Samsung phone adblocking problem. Overall our weekly loads take around 1.5 hours each for two people (towels/clothes mixed). Sheets and blankets can be a problem and I've rarely had success as they roll up regardless of how loaded (1xqueen sheet or multi, semi dry or wet). I've defaulted to semi drying on the line and using the mixed fabric cycle which does a backwards spin every 5min or so. Electricity use is miserly, I'm totally won over by this fact alone. Being placed in a small laundry is perfect for this, the heatpump technology means it gives off very little external heat and no moisture/humidity.

I have had it almost 4wks and havent noticed a change in my power usage, im using it almost daily. It is quiet and runns smooth. I highly recommend this product.

Thanks for your question Phil. This model, and most washer units suited for NZ, run between 220-240V at 50Hz, They are designed to be plugged into your standard 10A wall socket plug. Hope this helps clarify! ^CO

Hi, I see this lg 8kg 10 prog inverter control heat pump condenser is suggested with the lg 8kg 11 prog series 5 steam front loader. How do these stack given their depth is different ie 535mm and 690mm? Or is it possible to attach the dryer to the wall?

Good question Michelle! The Dryer is can be free standing or stacked using the STKIT-WH obtainable through your local store, or via LG directly. The washer paired is not compatible with the stacking kit, and is for free standing only. You can't mount this Dryer on a wall due to weight and safety risk. Have a chat to your local store and they can recommend a suitable compatible Washer for stacking. Trust this helps!
