Laundry is a breeze
My new AEG washing machine was delivered recently. I already have done several loads of washing. It was quite easy to learn how to operate it even though there's a lot of complexity hidden behind the controls. Love the low water usage since we're on tank water. Love the quiet operation and spin compared to our previous machine. Love that you can wash woollen items. Love the 20 min 3 kg cycle. And the flexibility available to adjust most settings. Everything I've washed has come out well cleaned and reasonably well-dried from the spin. Hope to receive my AEG dryer soon so my laundry will be a breeze, even in the Tas winter.

Large Washing Machine with Superior wash
We bought this machine a couple of months ago and have been quite happy with it.
It seems to leave give clothes squeaky clean and allows control of most aspects of the wash cycle. The normal wash is almost 3 hours long which we consider excessive, but we tend to use the eco wash which reduces the time down to 1hr 50mins. The time changes with the weight of the load, but the odd thing is that the time seems to adjust midway through the cycle and we're not sure why. The machine takes a bigger load than we are used to, without occupying more physical space and operates quietly. Its a little complicated to adjust beyond the normal setting, but the manual is pretty helpful.

Worst Machine Ever Owned
Have only owned for just over a year on a 5, year warranty. Have already had the service repair man out 3 times. Rubber seal always mouldy even though I wipe it down with every wash; I feel that it must be putting mould into my washing as it is impossible to contain and even on the water outlet letting water onto the wash. The suds dispenser has been falling apart and broken since we got the machine as the clips are all cheap plastic. When the service man took the machine apart , all the pipes you can’t normally see were completely mouldy . Yuck AEG what are you doing to us with all this mould that can’t be contained . I feel like going back to a top loader with less issues !!!!

Features galore and so much more!
This appliance is literally the best thing in my house. I love the range of wash programs, including one as short as just 20minutes and everyday cycle in just under 40minutes makes this machine both time and water efficient. Easy to use programs and the ability to ‘open’ the door to add that sock that fell on the floor at almost any point in the wash cycle too. Eco mode available. And don’t get me started on the wonder of the Steam cycle. This cycle is a short 25 minutes and the best for making all my coats feel fresh and new. Every load has come out perfectly clean and fresh. Highly recommend.

CRAPPOLA - DO NOT BUY
This is a piece of expensive CRAP. If you want dirty, mouldy clothes, this is the machine for you. I've only had it for 1 year on a 5 year warranty & had the repair person out 5 times!!!! The AEG service repair man said he would NEVER buy one because of the extensive amount of mould this machine accumulates & the amount of issues with it including the fact that it does not wash. It turned my towels to cardboard!! If anyone has reviewed this machine in a positive light, they work for the AEG marketing department!!!!!!!! IT'S HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bad features
This is a machine that washes well but not as happy as I could be. I have had front loaders for over 20 years but made in a Scandinavian country - so different brand. Back as far as 20 years ago the door was made in such a way that water didn't sit in the rubber and nor was there a residue of water remaining in the soap tray. Not sure given the modelling of 20 years ago that AEG could not prevent this. WORSE still the door doesn't open on completion of wash cycle... very important to a busy person. Bad fault that if forgotten could lead to smell. What was AEG thinking? - The engineering is out there. I have an AEG dishwasher and condenser dryer. Out of both the Dish washer is the better product but based on washer would not recommend to a friend.

Broken and no part to fix it available
The machine worked well for 18 months and then a big piece of plastic in the drum broke off so it ripped clothing until I discovered the problem. This was with careful laundering in a 2 person household. I let Electrolux/AEG customer service know 8 weeks ago and they never replied. The local AEG repair company ordered the wrong part a month ago and now I'm still waiting for the right one to arrive. I am stuck with this machine now but would never recommend one due to its bizarre breakage and poor customer service

Great Washing Machine
Exceeded our expectations. We are very happy with our purchase. Cleans our clothes extremely well and our clothes come out smelling soo clean and fresh. Love how simple it is to use and the large number of wash cycles available. It also has a great look with a large digital display. It is great to feel excited about doing laundry again.
We also purchased the matching dryer and are extremely happy with this purchase as well. The stacking kit for the washer and dryer is also great and handy with the pullout shelf.
