We have just purchased this product and were disappointed to find that the mirrored finish appears to be a plastic finish on the outer top and drawers rather than glass. Can you please confirm what the outer finish is and wether it is heat resistant.

Hi Kevin. We can confirm the outer finish is tempered glass. While the glass will be fine with standard cups of tea or coffee, we do recommend using a coaster to help product your item from day to day bumps and scratches. We hope this has helped with your query.
