Small but powerfyl
I was so excited to get this camera, the salesman convinced me to upgrade from the bulkyier one I was looking at and after I got my head around that a smaller camera can be as good, I am loving it, I need to learn more about using it.
You can also get an adapter to connect the lenses from the bigger cameras.
The great thing is you can transfer photos directly from the camera to your phone and to the internet, such a handy feature.
The only thing I will get an eye on to make sure it’s not a fault is it has the great feature of a touch screen but if I come from the right to touch the screen it blanks out, so I have to come from the right which is harder to do.
Other than that a great wee camera that take great photos.

Very good beginner camera
It’s been about a month since I purchased this camera and I must say it’s been an amazing experience. For someone who was clicking with a camera for the first time, it was helpful as the camera tells you what each mode is. I’ve always clicked photos on my phone but realised the camera experience is different. Learn a little about photography on a camera and you’ll be at a great start with this camera.I can’t wait to completely explore this camera to it’s fullest potential and purchase more lenses and learn further.

Amazing Features
I upgraded to this camera from the EOS 400D and I love it! The features this camera has is amazing. Such an easy camera to use and still learn so much on it. I love when flicking through the camera settings it gives you little tips on what each setting is used for. Will never change from canon! I typically pair this camera with a 18-55mm lens but also have an ultrasonic 17-85mm and 70-300mm lens I like to use when shooting for those certain photos.

Best camera for beginners
I got the 1500d when it was first released just for a trip abroad but because of this camera I have grown a passion for photography since buying it I have since captured some of the best photos I've taken, I've gotten unto a career that allows me to think creatively and I've learnt new skills. To anyone interested in upgrading from a phone camera the 1500D is possibly the best option.

This camera was gifted to me when I was 16. I am now 22 and am about to pass it down to my sister. It has been through almost every stage of my adolescence with me, and was the cornerstone of me becoming and equine event photographer. Great beginner camera to learn DSLR manual setting
I got this Camera ten months ago as part of my professional photography course.
Great for learning the basic settings in different situations. E.g Night, sport, street, portrait, product photography etc.
Learning to use the camera in different scenarios has helped me to have a good understanding using the DSLR 1500D in manual mode.

Does the camera come either the neck strap? What else is in the box?

I have an old Canon EOS (?1000FN) film camera with Canon 35-80 and 80-300 zoom lenses. Would they be compatible with this camera?
Great question Shel! According to Canon, any Canon EF or EF-S lens, will be directly compatible, however EF-M lenses are not. Canon EOS lenses were designed to fit all other EOS models in some way, and may require a mount adaptor depending on your lens model. Hope this helps clarify! ^CO
