Could be better!
I always use HP61XL ink cartridges in my HP Officejet 4630 printer which I purchased on 03/12/2014. Perhaps the printer may have to be replaced soon and may be contributing to my problem--which is the ink cartridge not lasting as long as I expect it to. This is confirmed by the "Ink Level" on the printer indicating that the ink cartridge is over half full yet the message on the printer indicates that the ink cartridge must be replaced and the quality of the printed page is not acceptable. Replacing the ink cartridge solves the streaky printing so I have to assume that the ink cartridge is the cause.

NEVER LET'S ME DOWN!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own and operate a drafting office. We use quite a bit of ink on large scale plans. After a number of years using cheap ink refills, and having to thoroughly de-clog my print heads numerous times, I now use only HP cartridges. HP actually engineers their inks for the print heads that deliver them, including the ink viscosities. This is not done on the cheap refills, and while low in cost, those off-brand inks were consistently much shorter in life and problematic for my print heads. Over the past several years, I haven't run anything through my printers and plotters except genuine HP ink and I can see a very clear difference in quality.

New ink semi reset… please add to instructions.
We need semi-reset instructions with ink pack. I kept getting printer error and then paper error after installing ink. Googled printer error and found from a YouTube video that by pressing back button several times a special menu pops up which allows for semi-reset which fixes problem. Answer on the HP site was unplug for 1 min which didn’t work. Add semi-reset to troubleshoot if errors show up after new ink installation. Looking for an answer took time and other people were ready to be done. Simple change will do wonders.

The 61 XL is now the same size of the 61 standard cartridge. Save your money or consider an alternative printer.

HP pRINTER iNK
iI do nothing but change the ink on this printer. It is costing me a small fortune. Even worse, you have to align the page. that can take half a ream of paper and half the ink b/c it will okay the alignment and the next day say you have to align all over again then when the ink is half way used up, it will tell you that the ink you bought directly from HP is counterfeit. I hate the printer. I hate the ink I have to change constantly and I HATE ALIGNING THE PAGE OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER OVER AND OVER AND OVER ETC ETC ETC

Always Go With OEM Ink
With HP genuine ink cartridges, I know it will be a quality product every time. I don't have to worry about ink smudging during the print and I know the page count per cartridge is pretty much what is advertised. Past experience with off-market ink cartridges have resulted in ink smudging and much less printed pages. So even though the off-brand may seem cheaper, it can actually be a much higher cost due to less useable ink per cartridge. Best to stay with the genuine HP ink cartridges for your HP printer.

Great Value
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered the XL to get a better value for an exceptable price but, I also ordered the color cartridge that was packaged along with it thinking I was getting the same XL value. This makes the second time that when I received the ordered items to discover the color cartridge was not an XL as I thought I was getting but the smaller ink cartridge. This is the second time I was disappointed. HP should do a much better job of putting together a package deal and not package two items that are not the same. My Opionion!

BAD CARTRIDGES
Terrible. I put in the new cartridge as I usually do and it printed dark black as usual. A week later, I tried to print another document and it was a med to light gray tone. I shut off the printer, turned it back on, reinstalled the cartridges (black and color) that you sent me, and it still was light gray. This was horrible as I needed a good cartridge. I am so upset that I paid so much for two supposed new cartridges. I trusted you that they would be good and as I get ready to purchase a new printer I am now very leary of HP because of this incident.
