Rated 4 out of 5 by from Printer fine; installation not so Printer is fine but the installation to add printer driver to a second laptop was troublesome. We had to get tech support to install the printer driver on the second laptop. Brother Tech support person was great but the 2 days waisted could have been avoided if the instructions to install on the second equipment would have been included in the installation manual. Similar with scanning; it works best to copy scan to USB and take that to laptop. The installation for scanning from the main laptop finally worked after many tries. but it is quicker to scan to USB.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Brother, this is a very good printer! I have had the printer for about a month or so for use in my rather busy retired home office. I did not actually want an A3 size printer, but the price was good on Black Friday, so I went for it. The A3 capacity has come in handy a couple of times already. The only downside is the obvious larger footprint, which meant I had to locate it in a different position. The printer was easy to set up and has worked flawlessly since I got it. Scanning works well and printing is a breeze. I have not used the fax and don’t expect to. Very happy with my purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Compact, performing well now I understand it We bought this for our office for its printing capabilities (excellent), its scanner (fine when you've worked out how to use it), and its A3 capabilities (not something I use, so nothing to say here). I've mastered the scanner now, I think, and it's functioning well, but it's taken me a few goes to get it right repeatedly. Could do with some additional online support material about using the scanner, in particular in using it from Adobe which is my preferred default.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Connectivity is a constant hassle Purchased as it is compatible with 5GHz WiFi. Good printer but connectivity is an ongoing hassle. Using WiFi, initially connecting, staying connected, in any way is a constant hassle. Any Apple devices almost always can't find the printer using AirPrint. Using the compatible Brother App takes a long time to find the printer, and that is after you have to physically wake the printer up.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Jammed paper when trying to print I need to print a lot of documents and found when I first bought this machine that it kept getting jammed. I haven't needed to print for a few weeks but am very nervous this may become a consistent problem. It scans great and prints single or small number of documents no problem so hopefully it was a one off issue.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent printer with ink tank [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Printing is good and economical because of ink tank, connectivity and support’s A3 printing . However, scanning is buggy and doesn’t scan entire A4 page which is frustrating at times.
