Rated 5 out of 5 by Wendy from Works well After a fair amount of research I bought one. I was sick of paying a fortune on Ink. The ink is super cheap. You can buy compatible ink online which is way cheaper if you know where to go. The only downside with my research was it (like all similar printers) there is a sponge that at some stage needs replacing and you can't just buy one and put it in, you need to go to the manufacturer as there is a code (I could be wrong). I hope that this will happen way in the future or you will simply be allowed to code it yourself at some stage. But I am certain this the best way forward especially with even cheaper ink. The software is blue and basic but it does the job.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Nigam from Does the job I bought this printer for my child's school homework, scanning, etc. The product is a good product for the job as it does not require costly ink like the inkjet printer. The only thing I was a bit upset was it does not have double sided printing plus there is no tray to store paper as we have in other printers. The paper hangs outside from the back. Plus it does not have airprint from the phone. It has got it's own app thru which you can print but that does not work for emails directly to be printed from the phone, etc. Overall a decent printer - but if integrated with functions like AirPrint and 2 sided printing, would have been great.

Rated 3 out of 5 by RobinM from Installation difficult. Purchased this largely for it's wifi options, on the expectation I could print seamlessly from my local PC's, phone and tablet. Followed the installation instructions on the supplied info sheet to connect to wifi via my PC, and it would not connect. Nothing in supplied docs helped. Eventually after many online searches found this post "https://techpress.net/how-to-connect-epson-ecotank-et-2810-to-a-windows-pc/". That gave me a starting point and I managed to stumble my way through it. I 'think' now it is finally installed, but it took the best part of a working day. The installation instructions are woefully inadequate for a 'non tech' person.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AMB67 from Brilliant Machine I had another EcoTank before ET-2810, but unfortunately, when I changed my modem I could not get it connected to my computer. So it was time for an upgrade. Because I do photocopying and scanning, I needed another printer with that ability and also was an Eco-Tank. Because I found my Epson L385 so good, I had to go with another Epson Eco-Tank. So I got the ET-2810. Brilliant machine. Another thing I like about the new machine is the tanks are on the front so you can see where your ink levels are at a glance. The old one was one the side, so not as easy to get a quick look. I am very happy with the new printer as I was with the old one too.

After setting it up, it kept printing blank pages. 0800 support was pretty awesome but had to go to the store the next day to replace the printer. Mt Roskill staff was amazing. Pros: The replaced printer is working as expected. Very easy to set up, especially if you have android and windows devices. Excellent resolution. Very cost-effective. Prints documents reasonably fast. Compact size. Not too loud. Cons: It does not have an auto double-sided printing feature. A bit annoying when you have to manually change sides for a 20 or so pages document. Overall recommended.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Stupacalypse from Good value for money We have previously had inkjets that would use a lot of ink cartridges and wanted to try an ink tank printer. The printer comes with full ink bottles in the package and it is easy to top up the tanks, as the bottles have a one-way valve to reduce ink spills. Setup was a little tricky and it took a few reboots of the printer to refresh WiFi settings or clear errors. But, once it was up and running, wireless printing was easy and print quality is decent. The only flimsy part of the printer is the flatbed cover, which has very soft plastic. But that is a minor gripe. Overall, very good value for money.

Are there special settings that I use if I want to print on light card e.g A4 200gsm? How well does it print on this light card stock?

Thanks for your question. Epson advise the ET-2810 is designed as a home use printer. Card stock could work as long as it's not too stiff and printing volume is moderate to low, however, you may want to lean towards a more robust unit like the WorkForce Business range. ^CO
