Rated 4 out of 5 by from Majority Oakington Dab Radio CD Player with Blu Was very happy with the very compact size and fits well where I wanted to put it. Found difficulty when finding stations and disappointed with the results, the reason could be that I live in New Zealand and the Radio came from Australia. Very happy though to now have a CD player that fits in such a small place in my lounge.

Can I plug this into a home speaker system which runs throughout the house

Great question Denise! Yes, this has a 3.5mm line-out port located on the rear panel, allowing the unit to connect to an external amplifier or speaker system using a standard 3.5mm auxiliary cable. Does the clock still display when the power is turned on but the radio is turned off?
