My dad bought the 3.3 ounce size of Avene cicalfate repair cream for me last winter after I was struggling with eczema that nothing would treat. I also had swollen inflamed eyelids after crying/ cold weather and this product was a literal miracle. A few months ago the tube started shooting blue watery liquid out and the cream was chunky and no longer hydrating/blendable. It was my absolute favorite and a miracle worker so I would love to figure out how to fix my jumbo size product or how to keep this product from doing this when I purchase a new one in the future!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Just blue water and sludge - no cream in the tube! COMPLETE GARBAGE! I got a tube full of blue water and some sludge at the bottom that isn't even cream. When you shake the tube, it sounds like its just slushy water and it leaked out through the seal and squirted all over when the top was removed. SERIAL Number 3- 282770-204681 on the top line, and 6 -73914-93634 on the bottom. Expiration date - 02/27 and the Code on the bottom of the box is 4A13P. HORRIBLE! This is not even usable and is a waste of money! Other people have also complained about this, but I'm unsure if Avene will stand behind their product. They also changed the tube from a flexible metal to a full-on plastic and I think it ruined the cream. I want a refund! If I could give this ZERO stars I would.

I purchased it a couple of weeks ago, and I was blown away by the results after just one use! I’ve struggled for so long to find a good moisturizer for my face, trying everything from high-end brands to budget options, but nothing seemed to work. With my hormonal acne, my skin fluctuates between being too oily and too dry due to the topical treatments I use. However, this cream has created the perfect balance for my skin every single day. THANK YOU AVENE FOR THIS AMAZING FORMULA!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unfortunately, it did not work on my skin. I was really excited to try this cream because of all the wonderful reviews, but for whatever reason, it did not work for my skin. I trust that it really did for other people, but unfortunately for me, it exacerbated the redness around my nose and mouth. I read the directions twice and applied it following them, but it just did not work. I tried it for about a week and the redness only intensified the more I used it. I'm a little bummed because I spent so much money on this product, but I'm sure it works for others considering the reviews.

Recently I have had several red patches small breakouts; they may be hormonal or environmental and it was driving me nuts. I ordered this based off of Reddit reviews (don’t usually do that) and have been using this as a spot treatment for red areas. At night I put it on after my moisturizer. It’s been 10 days and my skin is hydrated, healed and dare I say plumper. I don’t know what magic this is but as long as I don’t suffer from any future irritation and the product doesn’t change, I’m never giving this up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great hydration but strange texture issue I bought Calciate by Avène after it was recommended to me following a Morpheus8 facial treatment. The cream leaves my skin feeling super hydrated, calm, and nourished — which I really appreciate, especially after such a treatment. However, there’s one thing that concerns me: every time I squeeze the tube, a clear, watery liquid comes out, separate from the cream itself. I’m not sure if this is normal or if the product might be damaged or expired. It makes me hesitant to keep using it. I would love to hear if others have experienced the same thing or if I should contact the brand directly.

It’s especially valuable since I work in the medical field and need to maintain a professional appearance. I love that I can even pair it with a low-grade retinol for anti-aging benefits—something I didn’t think was possible before. I’m truly grateful for this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If it separates, soak and shake! ATTENTION! If the cream separates (liquid is coming out of the tube) soak the tube in a cup of warmer water for a few minutes. Take the tube out and shake really well. The cream and thermal water blend together again. Great product to calm irritated skin. You are more than likely going to get a tube that has separated because it was exposed to temperatures less that 32°F. Avene needs to include some sort of disclaimer on the packaging about how to correct the separation.
