Rated 5 out of 5 by from More a toner than a spot treatment I do not know how someone could use this only on one blemish-- it is very liquidy and spreads fast. However, I have essentially used it as a toner, even applying lotion on top although it explicitly says it works best if you avoid this & it has made a huge difference on my post-birth control, hormonal, chin acne. Seems to work for prevention and shrinking. It is also effective on all forms of acne, not just the deep\cystic ones it is advertised to combat. I used dozens of acne-fighting products on my chin but they always made my skin red, irritated, flaky, etc., but this product seems sufficiently calming\soothing to really work best. Plus, it is so cheap for how many applications you get.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from didn't work , too runny I am a daily user of the Drying Lotion which works pretty well; I go through many many bottles a year and continue to repurchase. Based on research, this Buffering Lotion is supposed to be for acne that feels a little deeper under the surface of the skin, so I tried it for that... it didn't do ANYTHING even with consistent use. It is soo runny and hard to apply, it dripped from my forehead into my eyes and burned like crazy. I like MB but this is the worst MB product I've used so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It actually works! Let me start by saying that I absolutely HATED the watery consistency at first. I like thicker solutions that stay exactly where I put them. As runny as this is I thought it wouldn't stay where it needed to be long enough to do any of the things intended for it to do. Turned out to not be a problem. I shake the bottle, put a few drops on my fingertip, and then dab onto the spot. Starts drying it up fast. This is the ONLY thing that works for these deep under the skin boil like pimples that takes a month or more to come to a head. The buffering lotion dries up the skin on top of it and flattens the pimple itself at the same time. Seems to really aid in the healing process as well so that I'm not left with a scar or any sign I had an abscess on my face. I do have hyperpigmentation as I'm a medium tone black woman. Even still, it's MUCH lighter than it would be without using this lotion.

For 5 years I have had those pesky forehead bumps that sometimes surface to a whitehead but mostly just linger and the texture is so annoying. I know it says for cystic acne but it works wonders for those annoying bumps! I tried everythinggg but switching to this only (no more aggressive exfoliating) nightly completely cleared them up like magic!

I saw the next day, already a difference! Amazing stuff and wish I found this long ago! This is even better than all the creams I've used from my dermatologist. The best solution I love, love love!!!!!

The solution is extremely thin, which makes it hard to get it where you want it on your face without it dripping down your finger. No bad smell or bad reactions though so that's a plus!

I’m going to keep using because I don’t want to give up just yet. I also have been skipping nights. So I have to do better. Hopefully it works!
