Rated 5 out of 5 by from OBSESSED!!! This lipstick (color) is the only accessory a person needs, it is EVERYTHING! For months I contemplated on buying this... BIG MISTAKE! The color lasts for hours and unlike most matte lipsticks my lips did not feel dry, the color didn't bleed or flake! My ONLY complaint is SHANGHAI NIGHTS, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring this color back. I NEED that color in my life!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This is crimson not red! I have been searching for the perfect red lipstick - in a blue red tone - for the past 12 months since my favourite was discontinued. When I came across this one I thought this has to be it! Charlotte Tilbury would know a true red lipstick! It's even called Red Carpet Red! But it's not. It's closer to crimson. I am so disappointed. Especially as it's the 19th lipstick I've bought. Seems like a good product otherwise though.

I regularly wear red lipstick but hadn't liked the look of this one so I had always been skeptical of it. When it arrived I loved it straight away; it's a really gorgeous quality colour. Quite dark and blue toned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long lasting! I'm something of a red lipstick junkie, so there was never going to be an issue with the colour. With most red lipsticks, I find myself encountering three problems: (a) it gets on my teeth. (b) I have to reapply multiple times. (c) it smudges. Using this shade, I have not encountered a single one of these problems! You can also alter the shade slightly depending on what type of lip liner you use. I use this with a more burgendy/purpley lip liner if I want a more berry-toned shade, for instance. Using a lip brush, this lipstick can be a more everyday, subtle shade. The best way to apply this lipstick, I find, is to fill in your lips fully with a liner, apply one coat and rub your lips together lots! Then apply another coat and blot. I find if I do that, my lipstick won't need to be reapplied for a long while! I did this at a friend's birthday party the other day and it lasted through three G&Ts, four hours of continuous talking and several plates of tapas. Will absolutely repurchase ... when I have the money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not what was expected but still a nice colour This red is very light, bright, and pulls quite pink. Not what I expected but I still like it. As I find was many of the Charlotte Tilbury products, it improves in performance a little while after opening. I find its quite wet and greasy when first opened and doesn't last very long. However, as with many of her lipsticks and mascaras, after its been opened a week or so it dries a bit, in a good way, and becomes the long lasting lipstick that I love. I ONLY wear Charlotte tilbury lipstick because of this. Even if my lips start drying out and I find myself picking at them, you can't see it and the lipstick looks flawless. I reapply several times a day to keep it topped up, but can party all night, sleep, wake up in the morning and it still looks OK. I always get compliments on how well my lipstick lasts whenever I wear CT. Took a start off only for not looking quite like it does in the pictures. Still recommend it though it's a nice colour.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New favorite red This is my third Matte Revolution purchase—love love love the formula—and I thought I didn't need another red in my lipstick collection, but I was oh so wrong! You just can't look bad in this, whether you go full-on and lined or sort of blot it on as a stain. Color-wise this seems to span both the blue-red and brick-red spectrum (I'm a fair blonde w/warm undertones, for reference). Long-lasting and will make even wearing jeans and a t-shirt feel like you're on the red carpet.
