This product is advertised to set makeup, reduce the look of pores, instantly blur fine lines, leaves a soft matte finish and is infused with shea, cacao butters and vitamin E. I will say that I used this to set my makeup (when it was 98 degrees out) and the finish was flawless! It kept my makeup set in the heat for a few hours. I was worried that it would leave a white cast but it absolutely was translucent and light weight. What I love the most is that it is a clean product, with 86% naturally derived ingredients. I received BareMinerals Original Mineral Veil Pressed Setting Powder in the shade "Translucent." This powder comes in a handy compact with a big mirror and hidden compartment for an application sponge cushion. This makes the compact purse friendly and perfect to take with you for touch-ups on the go. The powder is finely milled and blurs imperfections while setting my makeup. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shine-free and Silky! *Ok so let me preface my review by stating that I did not try this product with a full face of makeup.I chose to use this powder as a way to keep me shine-free throughout my workday; it definitely delivered! It was lightweight and made my skin feel sooooo silky! It balanced out my skin after using my moisturizer that tends to leave me a little shinier than I would like. I also plan on using this under my foundation, because I feel like it would give me a perfectly smooth canvas to start with. This powder didn't break me out, and it was translucent on my foundation-free skin. I'm actually considering purchasing one that is closer to my skin tone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the way it wears and sets my face, not the sh First, I was pleasantly surprised at the way this pressed powder managed to set my makeup and not end up looking cakey or accentuating my fine lines. I'm not usually a fan of super matte products as I get further into my 30s and my skin changes, but this wasn't drying at all. My only complaint with it is actually that the translucent shade puts a slight white filter over my skin. I end up putting bronzer over top in areas to not feel washed out. Over all, definitely impressed with Bare Minerals and the formula! I just need to try a different shade for my light/medium skin. Pic attached is to show on bare skin the whiteish cast it leaves.

I am extremely picky when it comes to setting powders as most tend to make my skin dry, cakey and patchy but this one did not at all! It is so light weight and feels like nothing which I absolutely love. You can build it up if you have oilier skin but I love that it can be used on very dry skin as well (not very many setting powders are beneficial for dry skin). It definitely smooths my complexion but still looks so natural. And I LOVE the sturdy compact and that it has a mirror. I honestly am so impressed by this powder. I will definitely be purchasing when I run out. Amazing job Bare Minerals!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love it I've been using bareMinerals products for so many years now because they are consistent. This new original mineral veil pressed setting powder is amazing. I love that it's in a compact style case with a mirror and applicator. I prefer to use a large blush brush to apply in the morning and touch up throughout the day with the applicator. When using this powder my makeup stays flawless, and when I start to get shiny I just apply a bit more and I'm good to go. There is no white residue left on my face and you don't need very much product at all. Love it, I take this with me daily! #originalmineralveil #contest #complimentary @bareminerals @Influenster

Not only does it leave your skin looking beautiful but it also helps reduce the appearance of any oil that your skin produces. I use this product for both my every day make up as well as for when I go out in more glam make up. This product even comes with a small compact mirror to help you apply anywhere you go. It does not leave your skin looking white and dull but rather it helps the overall finish and appearance of your make up. It does not have any weird smell or texture that a lot of similar finishing product have. I cannot recommend this enough 10 out of 10!! I received this product complimentary.

I want to start by saying I'm glad I waited a while and really tried it before forming any opinions. I did not like it at all when I first used it. I kept trying to use it to set my face (I use either Mac face and body or Milk Sunshine) I thought it make my skin look off. I decided to switch to using it to touch up during the day when my nose would get shiny in the heat and humidity. Much better results. I think it's great to use after a few hours to blot excess oils and it gives my skin a smooth refreshed look. If your looking for something to touch up with on the go then this is good!
