Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best watch I've ever had Bought this to replace a Vivoactive 3, a watch that I loved. This Venu 3 is even better. GPS is faster and more accurate. It has many more capabilities for monitoring health. I found a watch face that works well for me. Perhaps the most helpful thing is the three buttons for navigation in addition to swiping. (The Vivoactive3 only had one, so it was always a combination of push or hold and up/down/left/right swipes.) The only minor complaint is have is that the buttons don't stick out much (which is good and bad, so a compromise), but they seem a little 'soft' when pushing them. Still, this is the best watch I've ever had, and I recommend it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfroms great, with limitations The watch performs better than expected. The data you get from swimming, walking, and such is great. A limitation that's annoying is you can't go below certain custom lengths on the watch. You can manually update it in the app after, but if you have it linked to something like Strava it only pulls the original recording, which makes it look like I'm world record holding swimmer. If you plan on doing indoor cycling it also doesn't allow you to manually put in a reading from a bike for distance/speed, you'll need to buy a Garmin sensor for that. Other than those two gripes I love it. I wear it to sleep and it doesn't feel heavy wearing it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from First full-featured smartwatch. I bought this after the Fossil hybrid smartwatch I bought earlier in the year failed to charge a few months later, and they gave me a refund. I didn't have high expectations (not because Garmin or quality), I mostly planned on having minimal notifications and trying the running and breath work features. Honestly, it blows me away at how well the activity tracking and health metrics work. The insane library of customizing the watch face allowed me to set up something relatively minimal, and it honestly adds to my day. The weight is ridiculous, coming in less than some of my traditional watches, and the battery life has been fantastic.

From the Asus Zenwatch 2 and 3, the Huawei, then the Mobvoi Ticwatch. But I finally got fed up with the empty promises that the next update will fix everything, and it never did. So I finally did what I've wanted to do for years. I switched to a Garmin Smart watch! And this venu 3 has been awesome! It does almost everything the wear watches do, but with the Garmin everything just works great, everything works smooth, everything just..... Works! I love it. To me it feels like Garmin is a adult version vs wear watches that are like kids toys

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty but Not Compatible with Features I bought this garmin a few weeks ago once my apple watch stopped working. After a month of researching both Venu3 and Forerunner965, I made my decision after watching many runners on social media claim to love this watch and explaining how much better it is than an apple watch. While this might be true, I wasn't aware that this watch would fall short on some key Garmin features that are key for runners. After spending an hour mapping out my courses for the week and deciding on a Pace Pro strategy, it turns out it's not compatible with my Gamin device. So while this is better than an Apple watch, I should have gone with the Forerunner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the Venu 3 Got the Venu 3 a few weeks ago, then was hearing things about the vivoactive 6. Returned the venu 3 to get the vivoactive 6 since it was cheaper and they had very similar features, and did not like it. The battery on the vivoactive 6 wouldn’t last a full day and some of the features were missing on the actual watch. Ended up returning that and getting the venu 3 again, I love it so much literally has everything you need in a watch when it comes to everyday wear plus fitness & health tracking and battery life is amazing compared to my Apple watch. I have a small wrist but chose the venu 3 instead of 3s, it fits perfectly and I love the bigger watch face.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A major upgrade I received the Garmin Venu 3 for Christmas to replace the original Venu. I immediately noted the screen was brighter and clearer and navigation was snappier than I had become accustomed to. In addition, I appreciate the improvements to the sensors. For example, I find sleep tracking to be much more accurate and the addition of naps is a good one. The band that comes with the Venu is fine, but I have had issues with the clasp on both my original Venu and the Venu 3. That is why I was delighted to find that you make a very good quality band that uses a Velcro connector. This band is the most comfortable watch band I have ever worn.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Timing. Perfect Bday Gift.. to Myself I gifted this smart timepiece to myself after returning the purchase of GOOGLE Pixel 3 for defects unexpectedly. I never had a smartwatch, fit but or any type of tech watch because I always believed a "watch is a watch" lol...however, March 2025, GARMIN made me a believer. The easy set up, the advanced health and fitness tracking with a user-friendly design and long battery life. I appreciate its accurate heart rate tracking, particularly during strength training, and its ability to monitor various metrics like sleep stages and blood oxygen. The Venu 3 also offers a good balance of smartwatch features, including notifications, calls, and text messaging.

In your questions and answers you state that Venu 3 has ECG. However on the Garmin Website it does not have NZ listed as a compatible country for ECG funtion. So can you please clarify whether Garmin ECG funtions work in NZ?

The ECG functions are not currently available within NZ, however, they are still a feature on the device and usable if travelling overseas to countries with Garmin ECG medical approval. Does the Venu 3 have ECG monitoring?

Hi there. The Venu 3 watch is compatible with the GARMIN ECG APP. The ECG app uses sensors on the smartwatch to record the electrical signals that control how your heart beats. The ECG app analyzes the recording to get your heart rate and detect signs of any irregular heart rhythms. We trust this helps

Thanks for your question. When you receive a text message notification on your Venu 3 series watch, you can send a quick reply by selecting from a list of messages. You can customize messages in the Garmin Connect™ app. NOTE: This feature sends text messages using your phone. Regular text message limits and charges may apply. You will be able to receive a phone call on your connected phone, the Venu 3 series watch displays the name or phone number of the caller. To decline the call and immediately send a text message reply, select Text message symbol, and select a message from the list. NOTE: To send a text message reply, you must be connected to a compatible Android phone using Bluetooth technology. Hope this helps with your query.
