Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Machine Finally decided to upgrade from my PS4 and the PS5 was simple to set up and use. I even managed to install some extra SSD memory. Transferring data from one console to the other, and from USB storage, was made much easier by the guides on the PS5. Pretty soon I was able to start gaming and enjoy the benefits of the new console, which is huge! I do not have room to stand the PS5 vertically so it sits horizontal on its base. It runs nice and quiet and loads quickly. I am not a big gamer but the games that I do play - Witcher 3, Assassin's Creed - look great. Overall, I am very pleased with the PS5 and look forward to exploring more of its features.

Put not by much Pros : Console itself is quiet : Games take seconds to load ( improvements in loading speed ) : Still able to play PS4 Games as well on the Console Cons : Not enough storage for the price you pay for the console : Console is too large : Only comes in white : Accessories are expensive if you would like to change the colour : Definitely storage problem.. Specially, when games require more storage

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lacks features Overall a solid and powerful console generation. Most games run very well and look fantastic, 4K resolution and 120fps are great, and I'm a big fan of the Dualsense controller even though not many games take advantage of it's features. I'm also very glad they kept it backwards compatible with the PS4. My main 3 criticisms are that: 1. Proper backwards compatibility with PS1, 2 and 3 is missing. This console's hardware could easily emulate PS2 and potentially even PS3. It's a shame classics like the older Ratchet & Clank PS2/PS3 games aren't playable. 2. The 4K optical drive is a nice feature to have, but the PS5 is missing Dolby Vision or HDR10+ support which is a real bummer. It doesn't tone map very well either with HDR10, with such powerful hardware it's a missed opportunity. 3. The lack of Dolby Atmos in games is a shame, and the audio format outputs supported are fairly low resolution for this day and age. Finally, with more and more Sony games coming to PC I'm seeing less of a need to keep this console. If they focused on what consoles are good for (home entertainment, local multiplayer games) I think it would keep me more interested.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fascinating From futuristic/ minimalist design & UI to dualsense, stature of the Exclusives to PlayStation Plus Extra games catalogue, The PlayStation 5 feels like a breath of fresh air. Sony has heavily focused on the first party titles along the way to ensure this remains the best gaming environment in the market. I enjoyed playing God of War Ragnarok on the ps5. The only bummer I felt was the dualsense, which started giving drift issues just a month later. Also, 667GB of SSD is not enough though. But yeah, Great job Sony.

It is the slickest console I have ever used and it already has some killer apps in the form of exclusive games for the system. The new Dualsense is a revolution and I can never go back to long load times. The next generation of gaming is here.
