Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely amazing! I don’t know what other people are reviewing, but it sure isn’t the Harmon Kardon Onyx Studio 7. I am a major music snob, and I tell you, this is the best sounding Bluetooth Speaker I have ever heard. You can truly feel the deep bass, and the highs are crisp and clear. I’m not a paid reviewer, or a JBL/Harmon Kardon employee either. I absolutely love how it looks as well. I had no problems linking it to both my iPhone and several Android devices. I’d love to test, try and review other Bluetooth Speakers and give my honest opinion!

I got the light grey and it’s a beautiful piece! It does have a bit of weight, which I also like, means it will hold up in Oklahoma winds!! I hope my neighbors like it too 😬

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible I had all the model from Onyx Studio 1 to Onyx Studio 4. Never had any issue, they worked perfect and great sound. I decided to buy Onyx Studio 7 and I am very disappointed. It is losing the Bluetooth signal all the time like it will some interference on the old cell phone. I testes 2 speakers already and both they do the same. Obviously there is a problem. Now I feel so sorry I was a fan for so many year and finally time to switch to real brands. Maybe Samsung should pay more attention on what it is happening of they decided to buy Harman Kardon. Plus their customer support it is so out dated and not trained. Don't buy this crap!

Believe it or not, the whole house be shaking and still I can hear the music very clear. Very good product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Clean sound, heavy bass Easy to set up and use. No frustrating fiddly features or "smart" features. Huge low-bass response, although slightly weak on the low-mids, so it doesn't sound as "warm" as it could. Better for pumping dance music than chillout or film soundtracks. Sounds a little like a subwoofer/satellite combo, but really not bad for a Bluetooth speaker. But it's a clean sound, and I think I could listen to it for a while before it got fatiguing. I kinda wish I could tame the low-bass just a little bit though.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Massive unruly bass If i had paid full price for this wouldve definitely sent it back. I was genuinely taken aback by the massive unwieldy unruly wayward bass. Hopeless for classical music & jazz & acoustic. Read a tip online that if i press bluetooth & volume down at the same time it would neutralise bass, but doesnt seem to have worked. Perhaps HK will let me know. Its big & heavy so not really portable in 2024 sense. Plus side - condition excellent for refurbished product. But as a classical music listener, i cant use this. I know beethoven was deaf but.... However, my nephew, who listens to rap & dub step will enjoy its thunderous unruly wayward thump, so i will gift it to him

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It’s not giving Just received this, so I haven’t had too long to test it out - mostly because the battery takes FOREVER to to charge. I received it more than four hours ago and it still hasn’t charge enough to play for more than ten minutes …starting to regret my decision to purchase a wireless speaker, rather than a plug in, if charging it is going to take this long. This is ridiculous. The instruction booklet it came with is also useless - it just tells you the basic functions, which are self explanatory. Sound quality is nice but honestly exactly what I would expect from a speaker for this price and size - nothing astounding, they’re not breaking barriers. Speaker is also pretty weighty. Glad I bought this for a sale price but again, wondering if I should have gone with something else.

At times, when I try to raise or lower the volume on my phone it fails to do so on the speaker. And music breaks when using the dual sound feature.

Does it need to have the battery fully charged before you can use the unit?

Thanks for your inquiry. You can start using your Onyx Studio 7 right away without waiting for it to be fully charged. However, please note that if you use it before it's fully charged, the battery playtime may be slightly reduced.

Can you leave the power cable connected continuously?

Thanks for your inquiry. Leaving it plugged in shouldn't affect its battery life. And you could unplug your Onyx Studio 7 when it is fully charged. However, do not leave your Onyx Studio 7 plugged in while directly contacted to the sun, it will drastically affect the battery life and performance of the speaker. Additional, do not leave as well your speaker fully discharged, which it will cause a very bad for its battery performance.

I am needing to buy a new adapter which one should I get

Depending on your source.....I've experienced to much bass at times and usually have the speaker paired to my cellphone or Amazon tablet...On my Samsung Galaxy S23 under settings under sounds and vibration I'm given a 7 or so band equalizer I can adjust and am to get the exact balance of bass,midrange, and treble that I want.

Is it normal for the battery to last up to 8 hrs on half volume then 2hrs on highest volume

Thanks for your question. Please know that it's possible that the battery is losing its capacity. Volume and usage can affect the battery's life. In addition, please know that the battery wears out over time. Even if listening at maximum volume to heavy bass music, the battery should last longer than 60% of the published playtime. Does the speaker only come with half the charger? I don't have the wall part of the charger.
