Rated 5 out of 5 by from Packs a Punch This will get everyones attention, neighbors beware. It is loud and is the best sounding product I have seen that you are able to carry around. Bass, Mids, Highs are all crisp and clear. I do have a large 2 acre lot, if I am up late at night, I will turn it down slightly. Easy to connect, super long range, i can walk all the way back to my house, and it's still connected for great range. Long play time, the 24 hours is accurate. My only knock is that it may be a little large and heavy for your liking, but if you can get past that, you will not need anything else. Amazing product as always JBL. Thanks for bringing us this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing speaker! I got the boombox 3 just over a week ago and all I can say is WOW! This speaker is amazing for its size, it is alittle bit and heavy but nobody should be complaining considering the sound it puts out. Its literally a portable concert! I own the Boombox 2 also which is still a great speaker. But in my opinion the 3 is better. The bass is very deep and the mids and highs a crystal clear. It gets very loud with no distortion. I also own a partybox 200 and the boombox 3 sounds better with more bass. If you decide to purchase a boombox 3 you will not be disappointed! Remeber, you only live once. Just go for it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice boombox3 [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This speaker is great. I used it at a get together at my house and had it outside and the sound was awesome. I use it inside the house as well and the mix between treble and bass are great. I used it with the JBL app as well and this boombox 3 does the trick.The handle fits perfect in the hand and is very easy to carry around. The look is simple and sleek. This is one of the best speakers I have. Wish it would connect to the party box and charge 4 I have but unfortunately it does not. This is the only draw back I see. The sound is of high quality, crisp and clean. Would recommend to anyone. Easy to connect and play. Battery run time is awesome I played it for 8 hrs straight and still shows over half battery left. Charging is simple.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great speaker with incredible sound quality, convenient portability, and a long lasting battery life! The sound quality is great, even when you turn the volume up to the top. This speaker can get very loud especially for a speaker of this size. This speaker is perfect for any situation. Great for parties, whether that party is a casual barbecue or a bumping pool party. The fact it is waterproof allows you to relax when around water. This speaker is portable so it is very convenient to bring anywhere without having to be plugged in. The battery life lasts a long time as well which means you can use it all day long. It is perfect for playing loud music during workouts as well. This speaker is my new favorite speaker.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Battery light needs improvement I've been using my new Boombox 3 for 4 months now. It sounds great! The battery only lasts 6 hours on max volume. It last about 12 hours on 3/4 volume and 18 hours on half volume. Here's three massive improvements that are required, in my opinion. 1. Make the bottom flat all the way from end to end and widen the bottom so that it is more stable. It rolls around all the time. If you even slightly bump it, it becomes a rolling pin. 2. Put the LED battery/charging light on top of the unit by the on/off button and volume buttons. Why did you think it was a good idea to put it on the bottom of the speaker where you can't see it? 3. Make the LED battery/charging light a digital readout. Level 0 through 10. You have a limited idea of how much battery life is left until the light bar turns red. At that point you're down to 15 minutes to an hour left of play time depending on the volume you're at. That's also providing you pick it up and check the light periodically.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As usual a very happy JBL consumer Ive had it for 24 hours now and was lucky enough to snag this for black friday. Been eyeballing this model for a year after my xtreme 2 finally died after MANY years and countless hours of quality music. As a chef its important a speaker can keep up with the abuse of a kitchen and JBL never falls short. Also got a clip4 for mom for her shower and shes in heaven with it. So far I typically use this at 60% volume and it came about 80% charged. Ive got easily 8 hours in so far and battery indicator still shows 25% full. I know this will last a longgggg time for me. Thanks JBL

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great sound but not so great battery life As an owner of boombox2 and 3 I can honestly, say that I’m very disappointed with the battery life on the current model. Battery last roughly 4-5 hrs on a full charge and that’s a moderate volume. Did a warranty claim on it and I was told that it could’ve been a Defect battery. Got a new one but battery still last about the same. To the people looking to buy a boombox I would highly recommend #2. I’ve had it for three years and it’s still going strong .. for the price JBL needs to address this issue ASAP firm believer on “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it “

How do you Reset Boombox 3 to Factory defaults

Thanks for your question. To reset the JBL Boombox 3 to its factory default settings, turn on the speaker, press and hold the "Volume +" and "Play" buttons for more than 3 seconds until the speaker turns off. You may need to 'forget' the speaker in your phone/tablet's Bluetooth settings to pair it again.

Thanks for your question. The Boombox 4 delivers more power than the Boombox 3, especially when running on battery, with the Boombox 4 offering 200W versus the Boombox 3's 136W in battery mode.

Can I use this in my van whilst driving to make or receive a voice call via iPhone 15 pro max?

Hi ive just bought the boombox 3 and my battery lasts 7hrs not 24hrs. Does the boombox not run for that long if on louder volume?

This may vary depending on volume and music content. If the speaker doesn't meet the advertised playtime hours even at low to mid-volume levels, there could be a problem with the battery of the unit. Our JBL Boombox 3 doesn't have a microphone input to connect external microphones. If you're looking for a speaker with built-in microphone input, we recommend checking out our JBL PartyBox Series speakers like the JBL PartyBox 310 or JBL PartyBox Encore Essential.

Not able to Connect to charge 4

Our JBL Boombox 3 and JBL Charge 4 have different features that are incompatible with each other. The JBL Boombox 3 has the PartyBoost, while the JBL Charge 4 has the Connect+. Each speaker must exclusively connect to another speaker with the same feature.
