Just do it. You won’t regret it.
I purchased the Dreame A1 just over a month ago and it’s been a fantastic decision. We have a 1,200m² lawn split into two sections with thick NZ kikuyu grass and it handles it with ease. What used to take hours on a ride on mower now happens automatically.
Setup was simple using the app. You just drive it around the boundary and set no go zones. Some initial lawn prep is needed, filling holes and clearing debris, but once done it runs smoothly. If it gets stuck, the app notifies you straight away.
It takes about 9 hours to mow the whole lawn, but it mows, recharges and keeps going on its own, even overnight because it’s so quiet. It crosses our driveway to mow both areas and runs every 3 days, keeping the lawn looking perfect.
You still need to trim the edges, but the time saved makes it well worth it. Highly recommend.

How far can the GPS map? We have 6 zones that are about 1000 m2 each. We understand that these would be done separately between each charge. Could it cover an area that’s about 14000m2 over a week?
Hi Jono, it can easily map all six of your zones, but its mowing capacity is designed for about 1,000 m² per day, meaning it can maintain roughly 7,000 m² per week. This means your full 14,000 m² area would take around two weeks to complete rather than one, as the mower automatically recharges and resumes work but is limited by its daily coverage rate.

Can it cross paving to another part of the lawn
Thanks for your question Muza. If you have multiple isolated lawn areas, you need to create a path between them or the mower won't work effectively. You can do this manually using the app after each lawn zone has been created, and mark safe points for the mower to travel between zones. Trust this helps! ^CO

How close to a cut lawn edge does it cut which is not afainst concrete or other material?
Thanks for your question. It cuts close to the edge with the right software updates, going from roughly 15cm at default to as little as 5cm of uncut grass once updated. Using settings like vision sensitivity and disabling others, can reduce this further, though it's not a perfect finish, requiring a manual trim. ^CO

Will it cut kikuyu grass?
Great question Mick! Yes, the A1 Pro is 100% capable of cutting kikuyu grass and can adjust the cutting height between 3cm-7cm fairly consistently. If there are any issues with cutting it could be more associated with the gradient or bumpiness of the area. ^CO

My lawn is mostly all slope and an irregular shape. Sort of a horseshoe shape. Do you think it will manage to navigate its way over it all?
